@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ What a load of bollocks . If a putt is left short . It had 0% chance of going in .

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Weak mindset

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Still have to get it to the hole though .. I don't buy leaving it short on purpose

This could SAVE your putting 👀

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Especially when the first putt is unhill! Id much rather have a 2ft uphill putt than a 2 foot downhill putt coming back!

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ A putt left short never has a chance to go in. Missing a break on the low side never has a chance to go in. This isn't hard.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Leaving a putt short occasionally is different than doing it consistently.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Shut up Rick

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Worst advice in golf “ take your successful YouTube channel and sell out to a murderous dictator”

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Never up never in

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ You are going to miss long You are going to miss right You are going to miss left You are going to miss short This is the best answer- If you are going to miss, be close.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ I wonder what they call people in Australia when they leave putts short. In the U.S., we call them "Alice".

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Scott fawcett lol. Love this banter

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Keep your head down! 🫣

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ I saw somewhere where someone stated "getting your putt within 10% of the distance to the hole while putting, whether be short, long, left or right" is good

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ I’ve no idea who this guy is but I’ve never heard such nonsense in all my golfing life.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Luke Donald proved this wrong, when he became number 1 in the world he has the highest stat running first putt by, also had high 3 putt stat, but had the highest 1 putt stat because they all had a chance, a good player will have more 1 putts than 3 putts running it by the hole…

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Herbert had one win on the PGA Tour.....in Bermuda. Obviously, he doesn't make enough putts. Now, he's stealing money and trying to avoid relegation on LIV.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Speed control saved more strokes than just about anything for most golfers. I see it every week

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ What these guys - I'll call them marginal players - don't understand is that it is the entire mindset. If you play the game timidly, you are not a winner. It really is that simple.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ turn towards the target

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ 💯 correct ✅

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Forgot this guy had retired

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Never up never in

I agree that leaving it short isnt necessarily a bad thing but the logic behind it is dumb af. When you're 170 the reason you arent thinking about making it is bc the chances are astronomically less than putting from pretty much anywhere on the green. The green represents the scoring zone. You arent thinking about 80 yard scoring plays from your own 20 in football but when you get to the opponents 20 it's called the red zone for a reason Putting is how you score. If you're putting from any reasonable distance you should be thinking about making it. You cant make a putt if it doesnt get to the hole. You should be focused on the proper speed that leaves you a tap in if you miss, whether it's short of or beyond the hole is irrelevant

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ The Crenshaw philosophy. “If your putts are dead weight then you have more chance of holing it because you use more of the hole. If your putts are fast then they have to hit right in the middle”

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ 74% of short putts don’t go in! 😉

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ 100% correct.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ If you are actually trying to make the putt than get it past the hole, if you are trying to not 3 putt then get it to 3 foot circle.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ Solid advice for someone who has the Yips on short putts.

@lhgolf5 @rippergc_ I left one short at the weekend…..it still went in 😜😜⛳️👍🏽

This may be the stupidist and dumbest advice EVER given by any GOLF NUB. IF YOU HIT EVERY IRON THE RIGHT DISTANCE YOULL BE CLOSER TO THE HOLE. All you have to do then is hit it straight. 100% of ALL PUTTS that are SHORT don’t go in. Miss on the high side. If you can’t make a 3 footer you won’t have to worry bout scoring anyway. I’m an Amateur Hack WITH A BROKEN ARM and have over 20 Course and Tournament records. DON’T EVER TAKE THIS DUMB ADVICE.
