This was one of those episodes that stuck with me.

I remember when this first aired. It traumatized so many people. I miss that about the 90's; the fact you could be ambushed by something that would blow your mind literally out of nowhere.

Yeah, this was one messed up episode.

Every so often X-Files would lock in and produce some of the greatest TV writing in history, this was one of those episodes. Don't get me wrong, there are very few bad episodes of the X-Files, but some were godlike. Where Twin Peaks ended this show picked up the ball and ran.

During covid, I've rewatched the whole show. And certainly, older seasons are way better than new ones. The new ones are conedy.
