On the s26 ultra the privacy display works from all directions... that's what separates it from a standard privacy screen protector, this is the same as the screen protectors

Why don't you mention that it's not as good as the S26 Ultra? If it were better, you'd say the S26U solution is rubbish.

Even with Privacy Mode turned off, the Xiaomi 18 Pro still has noticeably narrower viewing angles than the Galaxy S26 Ultra. You can see it clearly in the video. That’s a bit unfortunate. Xiaomi has made the difference between Privacy Mode on and off relatively small. Even with it turned off, the display still retains some privacy-screen characteristics, so brightness and visibility drop noticeably when viewed from an angle. In other words, the normal mode still feels like it has a mild privacy filter applied. The upside is that the transition between the two modes is less dramatic. The trade-off is that even when you don’t need privacy protection at all, you still lose some viewing angle.
