The youngest age I would consider evaluating if Finasteride (or Dutasteride) is worthwhile. - from my long form discussion with Marek Health coming soon regarding hair loss prevention and pharmacology.

@marekhealth Ok, but if someone is not leaving the house because they're losing hair, then hair loss is the least of their problems. And nuking their GABAergic neursteroids is only going to make them more neurotic, while masking a deeper psychological issue that isn't going to disappear.

Having lived through the nightmare of pharmacologically annihilated DHT on finasteride, like near-zero libido, crushed motivation, emotional flatline, overall loss of masculine drive, i will always take physiologically robust DHT and accept the hair trade-off every time over that castrating side effect profile. Absent a legitimate prostate health imperative, most men should strongly reconsider ever touching a 5α-reductase inhibitor.

If someone wants to use a DHT blocker Propecia finasteride its up to them but there are plenty of stories out there of permanent ED for some. Crazy risk in my opinion Life lesson: There is no money in warning w/anything. The money is made in promotion & one day those who promote what could be poison for one person might very well get a taste of their own medicine
