The 𝕏 algorithm is built by the xAI team. xAI rebuilt it from scratch and scaled it to 20K GPUs at the Colossus data center. Since then, time spent is up 20% and follows are up even more. Grok will read over 100M posts every day to deliver relevant... show more

𝕏 Algorithm Update The 𝕏 algorithm is rebuilt from scratch by the xAI team and now runs on over 20,000 GPUs inside the Colossus data center This wasn’t a small patch or update.....it’s like replacing the entire operating system of a live global platform without hitting restart Early results are already showing: • Time spent is up ~20% • Follows are up even more And this is just the beginning. There’s still a lot more to improve, but the foundation has been rebuilt for scale

The new Grok-powered 𝕏 algorithm will be a game changer. • Grok will read every post made on 𝕏 i.e over 100M posts daily. • After filtering, it will match content to 300M to 400M users daily. • Goal is to show each user content they are most likely to enjoy or engage with. • It will filter out spam and scam content automatically. • Helps fix the small or new account problem where good posts go unseen. • You will be able to ask Grok to adjust your feed, temporarily or permanently.

.p0 Systems has a day-one partnership with xAI for the next Grok model... SerPepe gave the breakdown: - $1M commitment directly with xAI - A dedicated team member on Slack, online whenever P0 needs them - Day-one access to the new Grok coding model when it drops - P0's usage will be subsidized (discounted straight from xAI) The result: "P0 will be the best and cheapest platform to use the new Grok model." His read on Grok itself: 4.7 is going to be heavily coding-focused. "What I'm hearing from my guy at SpaceX is it's a much better model at coding." P0 gets early access to test before launch. How he built the connection: "It's all about talking with people, then negotiating...because we have the user base and the demand." solana:HmTi3CQfKfXWbn1tNoiAxH7GzMV7L3tDAmPWabZEBAGS LP with Meteora using MCG -

🚨NEW: Elon Musk explains how the new upcoming X algorithm will work "I think in December we'll have a half decent recommendation algorithm. Grok will be reading all 100M posts per day. Hopefully it doesn't destroy its mind. We just want to show things that people are interested in. Are you finding stuff that you find really interesting from accounts that you've never seen before? If that's happening, then the algorithm is working. It should be possible for a new user to post content with little to no followers and if that content is excellent then it gets seen by a lot of people. If the content is intrinsically excellent, then it will be seen by a lot of people. That's our goal."

ELON: WE BUILT THE WORLD’S LARGEST AI SUPERCOMPUTER IN RECORD TIME “We went to the data center providers and said, how long would it take to have 100,000 GPUs operating coherently in a single location? And we got time frames from 18-24 months; well, that means losing is a certainty. So the only option was to do it ourselves.” Source: xAI, Elon Musk

ELON: "GROK WILL READ 100 MILLION POSTS A DAY AND CURATE YOUR FEED ACCORDINGLY" "The really big change is that Grok will literally read everything that’s posted to the platform. That’s 100 million pieces of content every single day. That’s just in English, too. It probably goes even higher when you include other languages. Grok is going to start by reading what it thinks are the top 10 million of those 100 million posts. It will actually read, understand, categorize, and match them to users. This is not a job humans could ever do. Once that’s scaling, we’ll include the entire 100 million per day. Grok will literally read through 100 million posts and show you what it thinks are the most interesting ones for you." Source: The All-In Podcast, Elon Musk

SemiAnalysis Dylan shares his thoughts on xAI Grok and research labs: > xAI has ALOT of compute concentrated > ALOT of great researchers > 200K GPUs already running > purchased a new factory in memphis > building out a new data center > now they are buying a power plant and shipping it from overseas because you can’t get a new one in time in the US > Grok models are good > elon is hyping up next model > maybe it’ll be great / good > will it be openai level? or slightly behind? > we’ll see > he uses grok for current events > grok knows exactly what’s happening way better than google search, gemini or openai > every research lab is generally doing the same thing > even SSI

Elon just leased the entire Colossus I supercluster for xAI. All of it. "Elon Web Services" is becoming a real thing, a direct rival to AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. The only thing slowing it down is power. Give xAI unlimited electricity, and revenues go parabolic. Elon Musk xAI

Elon Musk on the 3 factors that will determine the winner in AI “Even a small player that is successful in AI will be worth a lot because they’ll contribute so much in productivity to the economy,” Elon explains. “There will be many companies that are worth sustainably several hundred billion dollars. So the next question becomes, How do we [xAI] achieve the lead?” Elon believes it will come down to three things: 1. Are you able to attract the best talent? 2. Are you able to bring more GPUs online faster than anyone else? 3. Unique access to data And uses these three factors to make the case for xAI winning the AI race: “We’ve already demonstrated that we can [bring AI hardware online faster than anyone else]. Jensen Huang himself said that he was blown away by how fast xAI build the Colossus data center . . . And for [unique access to data] we’ve got the X system — formerly the Twitter system — which is by far the best source of real-time data in the world.” He continues: “Those are some pretty significant assets, and I think we’re going to come up with some very innovative ideas . . . I think we’ll make some moves that are not on the chessboard, that people don’t anticipate.”
