If your government blamed Israel for Palestinians committing genocide against Jews and Israelis on October 7th, you do not live in a country that will allow you to live as a Jew. They hate you. They hate you for your religion. They hate you for your ethnicity. They hate you for who you are. They hate you for being Jewish. Whether or not you practice Judaism, they hate you for being Jewish. Good Jews. Bad Jews. Assimilated Jews. Religious Jews. They hate you for being Jewish. Leave. Leave now. Protect yourselves. Protect your families. Protect your communities. The 1 Drill To Meet All Your Rebounding Needs Some coaches don't believe in doing rebounding drills. They believe they can emphasize rebounding in everything they do without isolating it. I love that in theory. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked that well for me in reality. Coaches like Tom Izzo and Kelvin Sampson seem to agree. Michigan State and Houston are known for being 2 of the best rebounding teams in the country. I don't think it's a coincidence that they prioritize practicing rebounding. If you want your team to be elite on the boards, you must drill it in practice. Here's a versatile and game-like drill from 3v3 Drills For Offense & Defense with Coach Nick LoGalbo that will help your team dominate the glass. Setup: -Position 3 players around the perimeter -3 defensive players are in the paint Instructions: 1. The coach begins by throwing the ball to an offensive player. 2. All of the defenders close out. 3. The player who receives the pass shoots immediately. 4. The defenders must box out and grab the rebound. 5. Play is live until the ball is scored. The rebounding team does not have to take the ball out. Thus, if the defense does a good job boxing out and gathers the rebound close to the rim, they can immediately shoot. This continues until a basket is scored. 6. Each basket is worth 1 point. Play to 5.

Nick Saban walked up to the interview podium after practice one day. “Okay, y’all ready for a lecture?” he asked. What followed was a powerful lesson on entitlement and doing your best. Saban on the Importance of Nothing: “Let’s talk about the importance of nothing. You get up every day, you’re entitled to nothing. Nobody owes you nothing. “You have talent, but if you don’t have discipline, you don’t execute, you don’t focus, what do you get? Nothing. “If you’re complacent and not paying attention to detail, what does that get you? Nothing. “So, nothing is acceptable but your best. “Everything is determined by what you do and trying to be your best. There should be nothing else but that, for everybody. “That’s what we need to stay focused on. We need to not accept anything but our best in terms of what we’re doing in preparation.” – It’s a simple, but profound message. Some key takeaways: 1. Entitlement is a disease. It stunts growth and erodes culture. 2. Success has a one-day life cycle. Yesterday doesn’t dictate today. 3. Nobody is owed anything. When your feet hit the floor in the morning, it’s on you. 4. Know when your at-bat starts so you can segment the game and turn up the intensity of your focus. Is it when you’re in the hole, on deck, when you put your batting gloves on? 4. When you’re on deck, act like you’re in the box. This time is crucial to take control of your self-talk and breath, and get in sync with the pitcher. 5. Walk with big body language to the plate. Whether you are 10 for your last 15 or 0 for your last 15, carry yourself like the most confident version of you at all times. 6. Have a solid pre-pitch routine. Utilize your breath and make sure your self-talk is directing your focus to what you WANT to happen, rather than what you HOPE doesn’t happen. Hitting starts WAY before getting into the box. Below are 6 steps that will lead to more consistent hitting… 1. I believe it all starts the night before with a good PM routine leading to a good night of sleep. Know that a great day today started the night before. 2. Have a solid pre-game routine and be consistent with it. (cage work, BP, standing in on bullpens, visualization, journaling, nap, etc.) 3. Know when your at-bat starts so you can segment the game and turn up the intensity of your focus. Is it when you’re in the hole, on deck, when you put your batting gloves on? 4. When you’re on deck, act like you’re in the box. This time is crucial to take control of your self-talk and breath, and get in sync with the pitcher. 5. Walk with big body language to the plate. Whether you are 10 for your last 15 or 0 for your last 15, carry yourself like the most confident version of you at all times. 6. Have a solid pre-pitch routine. Utilize your breath and make sure your self-talk is directing your focus to what you WANT to happen, rather than what you HOPE doesn’t happen. The great part about these steps is that they are all 100% in your control. Be great with them, and you will win the inner war, and you will become a much more consistent hitter.
