Supreme Court ke CJI honge but with all due respect wo bhi toh ek insan hai and bias hona jayaz hai in logon ka But at what cost? There must be a bench of experts a who can scrutinise each and every order passed by Supreme Court it will be helpful to restorer faith in judiciary

• Section 40 used to say that waqf board has the power to declare any land as waqf property, that has been deleted. • Section 104 used to give a provision that a non-muslim can also donate to Waqf, that has been deleted • Section 107 gave the exemption of the waqf from the limitation act, that has been deleted. • The administration of evacuee property act under Section 108 has been deleted. • The unfattered and unchecked powers which were there under the waqf act 1995 has been curtailed by the present Waqf Amendment act 2025

#WATCH | On Supreme Court staying UGC Regulations 2026, Advocate and petitioner Vineet Jindal says, "Today, the CJI appreciated our arguments. We must say that it is a very big win for us. As we have been talking about specifically three issues, one is Section 3C which is talking about caste discrimination and in that particular section, the general caste has been excluded and all other castes have been included. So, this particular section has been sending a message that SC, ST and OBC has been discriminated against by the general caste. This was our argument before the CJI and he appreciated our argument and especially stated that what we are saying is correct and if such sections are there, it will definitely be very harsh and discriminatory for the general caste and this should be amended. The other part is in respect of the equity committee which is formed under Section 18 of these new UGC sections. There are no specific representations cited in these particular rules for the general community. CJI also admitted this argument of ours and suggested that it should be formation of a specific committee which includes academicians, social workers who have knowledge on these particular subject and now this matter is posted for 19th March and hopefully something good will happen."

We are at the Summit Club in Hillbrow, which owes the city R2.6 million in unpaid power bills. How did they end up here, considering this club attracts clients from around the world? The club is also non-compliant with building control plans and lacks fire safety plans, which violates section 10. Additionally, the club opened a new account while leaving the old one with a R2.6 million outstanding bill—this is considered fraudulent. Furthermore, the club is in breach of section 4 of regulation A25 of section 5. They carried out an internal layout change without an approved building plan from the City and are required to either restore the building to its original plan or submit the new plan for approval. #JoburgUpdates
