@CaanBerryTrader @leemottershead I've said it before, we need a national day of no betting whatsoever. If they don't scrap it we go again it's in our hands.

@leemottershead Why are people in racing not making more of a fuss about these checks how about a day of not betting on line and see what happens

@leemottershead If these affordability checks stay punters should all stop betting as an act of morals and solidarity then the game will be destroyed very quickly it's only fair. The customer and punters are being treated like idiots and criminals in a massive majority of cases.

@leemottershead Let us not forget that the Racing Post supported the bookmaker initiatives that were predicted and eventually led to this draconian situation that threatens to suffocate Racing.

@leemottershead I will never, ever provide any financial details to anyone. However, I will always gamble. There will always be many options open to me. It's my money and I will do exactly as I please with it.

@CaanBerryTrader @leemottershead It's been an issue for ages. William hill will not let me withdraw from my account due to security concerns but will happily take bets and allow me to deposit on that same card they don't feel safe withdrawing my winnings too. Whole industry needs to be reverted to a pool

@leemottershead Frictionless is a red herring. Open banking is frictionless but that isn't the solution. The issue is that many people don't want to hand over any personal financial data no matter how straightforward the process is.
