YOU CAN LAUGH EVEN IN THE MIDST OF LIFE’S STORMS Joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and if you are willing, He will supply the grace to sustain it. You can laugh even in the midst of life’s storms - a kind of laughter that does not make sense and defies human understanding. Make a firm decision to never lose your joy. Learn to rejoice in faith; unfortunately, when things don’t go our way, we’re quick to complain. Yet consider those who have believed in God for decades for the salvation of a loved one. When asked about their faith, despite the circumstances, they’ll say, “I choose to believe what God has spoken.” This is the mindset we need to adopt. When joy is missing in your life, it doesn’t only affect your emotions; it can also impact your health. There’s a medical term for the consequences of a joyless life. It can cause wrinkles, lead to degeneration, and make you fade as though afflicted by a terminal illness. Sometimes, the issue may not be physical; it could lie within your spirit. The Bible states, “A broken spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22). That’s why you must learn to protect and guard your joy at all times. Don’t fatigue yourself so much that you can’t be the source of your own happiness, source of joy. There are non negotiables in life, & responsibilities that are inevitable. You can’t allow those things to wear you down to the point where you depending on ALL outside factors to provide internal peace. Ultimately man will let you down.
