there are times when I have to pinch myself because I can't believe my job is to go out and do things I believe in, and fulfill the actual promises of blockchain. this summer, I spent time in rural Guatemala working with Bryan Weaver and Hoops Sagrado to transform payment systems. for 25 years, Bryan has been a community leader in both DC and Cantel, bridging cultural divides through sport. to make these camps happen, he walked around with wads of cash. thanks to an intro by Phelps, the magic of Stellar was introduced to solve the problem. instead of cash, Bryan sent payments from the Stellar Disbursment Platform directly to Beans App wallets, making it safer, easier, and more direct to receive money. and of course, recipients cashed out using MoneyGram, because some things are only possible on Stellar. this is why I Build on Stellar. we took sports, crypto, and cash and made something beautiful that works for real people. you can do a lot of things on a lot of chains, but some things are just better on Stellar.
