I don’t think it IS bad, but I’ll explain why it FEELS bad to play against, more oppressive than even someone like Fuse (who’s abilities are all just straight damage, total oppo of NC) If you’re in a 1v1, and all the sudden your enemy’s NC just slams ult in front of them, your only real choice is to flee. You can’t shoot through the shield in time, can’t nade/cluster/drill it because of the Wattson effect, and even if you get the original knock, it’s a new 1v1 vs a healthier man with two shields and the possibility of reviving your knock with 75 health and 50 shield. Your best realistic option when an enemy NC ults to their teammate is just to heck off and try again later It’s a totally fair, perfectly fine kit, but it’s just a big middle finger to your 1v1, just a “heck you pal playtime is over, go away” that can be annoying to deal with over and over again 😂

better be ragebait newcastle is the most obnoxious character with no counterplay since the release horizon/seer

NC is great and probably the most well balanced character atm but I unironically think we need seer q back to canceling res'ing, NC and lifeline need some sort of direct counter like that

i mean I think playing around your Q and your ult are skillful, but the res is just straight up broken his kit is literally flawless rn, and being able to move your camera alone while you res is busted as it is, let alone being able to move laterally and rotate

Newcastle is hella fun. Takes a good while to get use to his kit.
