There are so many misconceptions when it comes to Teslas. For example, you are not going to get electrocuted if you charge in the rain. The charger itself is water resistant. Here you can see my Cybertruck is charging perfectly fine, even during a Hurricane.

I still love the little touch that the charge indicator is a Cybertruck profile.

They got a little Cybertruck logo on the drain plug too under the bed. A lot of love went into this vehicle 🥰

And "you can't drive Tesla in freezing weather, the battery will freeze/won't charge/doors won't open/balls will freeze". 7,000 plus miles in freezing weather and pure ice:

Maybe it's a psychological thing, when I see a charger wet with water, I always think of electrocution.🤣

Too many people buy into the FUD, hook line and sinker. Education like this is the only way to fight it

There is no voltage on the cable and plug until the charger and the vehicle communicated about state of charge and desired charging speed.

People don’t doubt that the charger is resistant to water. They doubt that they themselves are resistant to high voltage.

Dang I know it’s water resistant and all but that’s crazy picking the charge handle up out of a puddle and plugging it right in 🤯 but hey, it worked!

I told a guy at work I couldn’t drive through puddles because the battery could explode. “You bought a 50,000 car you can’t drive through puddles?” Then I informed him he was an idiot for believing that. :-)
