Pakistani airstrikes in #Afghanistan have repeatedly killed innocent children, women, and civilians, without targeting even a single #TTP member. Despite PAK claims that the TTP operates from AFG, the 2,600-KM fence and numerous checkpoints along Durand have failed to prove this, as no TTP targets have ever been hit and only civilians have suffered. For years, the #Pakistan military has relied on creating crises to maintain its relevance, but it is clear that this issue cannot be solved through war. The real solution is dialogue with the Taliban in Afghanistan and with the TTP inside Pakistan. As Prof- Obaidullah Baheer has clearly explained, the claim that the TTP is based or led from AFG is baseless and only deepens the crisis.

There are multiple theories as to why Pakistan has gone to war against Afghanistan; 1. America made the order, to pressure Afghanistan over its refusal to surrender the Bagram airbase, and over its refusal to return war booty. Public files show that Pakistan made the proposal through back channels in the past. 2. America made the order right after Taliban promised to support Iran against a US invasion/occupation. As we know, US is preparing to strike and go to war with Iran. Afghanistan makes it complicated if the leadership does not comply. 3. Pakistani generals made the order to distract the population from multiple insurgencies (BLA, TTP). The idea is, a people will unite if there is an external enemy, so Pakistan needs a “weak” enemy to go to war with in order to unite Pakistanis. 4. Pakistani generals made the order because the Taliban is waging a proxy war against Pakistan through the TTP. This is the theory pushed by the Pakistani “leadership”, but the problem here is, they simultaneously claim that India is using the TTP and BLA to wage a proxy war against Pakistan, yet they haven’t conducted any air strikes in Delhi. So take your pick. In the footage below, you can see Trump is very happy with Pakistan’s war against Afghanistan. Why? It implies that the orders came from America, and it suggests that theory 1 or 2 is correct.
