I’m technically from an ethnic minority. But it’s obvious to me that there are legitimate reasons why white people/the traditional ethnic majority group, for whom this is a historic homeland, might be concerned about the sheer pace and scale of demographic change being imposed upon them. The gaslighting on this topic (never applied to other groups, eg the Japanese, etc) and the use of speech codes to stifle free and honest discussion of this subject, is leading to a build up of profound social tensions.
