It's by getting a lot of publishing - a lot flying around the world to talk about something. You need all of these things to bolster your reputation as an international expert in this area. Now, the best way to do that, at least in psychiatry but I suspect in other areas of medicine, is actually to collaborate with pharmaceutical companies to run clinical trials. They write the publications for you - most of it, they do a lot of the grunt work, they give you the protocols, and then, essentially, they fund you and fly you around the place. I used to remember, as a junior doctor, looking up to the Professors. And they would say, 'These drugs are safe and effective. There's not a lot of problems there.' ...What I've seen more and more is that they've been compromised, and that they have incentives tied to the money and to career advancement. That means that they can't be as forthright as they ought to be about these things. And it's gotten to a problem where these are the Professors who are training the doctors who are setting the tone for what is acceptable care out there. RECRUITMENT OF HS PLAYERS I always find it necessary to inform players and parents on the changing landscape of College Basketball and recruiting. There are layers to everything, Rick Pitino coming out the other day and saying they aren’t recruiting any hs players this year is significant bc it signifies a change in the landscape. Does that mean no HS players are being recruited, no… but when change happens at the top, there probably needs to be some change that happens below it. So HS players and parents really need to lock in and look how they are spending their time and money, as well as think seriously about what the new path to and of college basketball looks like!

For all the kids out there with a dream to play hockey at a high level, there are two things you may not realize that scouts look at A LOT: 1. You’d be shocked at how many scouts have LiveBarn accounts. They want to watch you practice to see how much you value getting better. The new rules by Indian Football Team to ban all local private tournaments unless they pay to get permission from district FAs and state FAs ( permission = money ) - no registered players of aiff are allowed to play - imagine if all local footbal tournaments are stopped - where are the players going to be produced -? You fall In love with this game in these local tournaments - there wud be no Minerva Academy Football Club or Punjab FC or @delhifootballclub as ther wud be no ranjit Bajaj - I am here because of the private tournaments 😢 i used to referee to earn pocket money when I was a kid - how can you stop that ??

BEING TOO UNSELFISH CAN HURT YOUR TEAM We want players to be unselfish, put the team first, and do whatever it takes to get the win. However, we do have players that are unselfish to a fault. Meaning they miss opportunities to score or create for themselves. They think they are doing what’s best for the team, but in reality they are hurting their team bc they are passing up on the best opportunity. Be unselfish, but understand the times that you need to get yours!

Look around you and see how people react. How they talk, how they look at you, how they judge you, what they do.
