@CMaj82 @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare Considerable reduction? 10 20 50%. ??? How about 100%. ?? We don’t need any animal products, animal relies on abuse and wastes 80% of arable land.

@FrasierHarry @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare With meat consumption projected to rise 90% by 2050 we will have to do more than cut meat consumption. We need a whole new revolution in animal rights because there is only a small percentage of hard-core meat eaters responsible for the substantial share of consumption. #VeganNOW

@OxfordMedic @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare I get that. I'm #Vegan. But quite honestly, it's the wealthy who need to change. Start working on that too. "America’s richest 10% are responsible for 40% of its planet-heating pollution, new report finds"

@OxfordMedic @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare There is never a need to consume any sentient animal, only ending their consumption will ever be good enough for humanity as a dominant moral species.

@georgecmcgavin @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare Corollary: 'There has to be a considerable reduction in human population...otherwise, we're just not going to be keeping within our planetary boundaries.'

@oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare We agree! Animal agriculture is horrible for the planet and we will not significantly mitigate climate change unless we move away from animal ag.

STOP viande

@FrasierHarry @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare The majority just won't listen, just won't change.

@frasier_hal @oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare He forgot dairy. That's still reliant on industrial levels of livestock farming leading to the same impact on climate.

@oxmartinschool @OxPrimaryCare Wife and I have eaten no red meat for a combined total of 116 years, and son has followed a vegan diet for nearly 15 years. It's not hard at all if you just decide to make something other than meat the center of your meals, which is also more healthy than a meat-centered diet.
