Better the second. Policy you feel part of is more likely to be obeyed and supported by the electorate. The first scenario was an unmitigated disaster.

I agree but for so reason the NPP has been faithful to this ideology for decades without any sense of deviating in spite of significant challenges and failures they've suffered in this approach.

Engaging stakeholders is the best, I was at one of the energy sector stakeholder meetings where we were asked how we would want the privatization part of ECG should take and if you hear ideas people were bringing up, you would be surprised. It’s smart to engage

Let's look at the aftermath of the policy formation of the two parties. People wanted to be involved in governance, but NPP said they had the men and did it all by themselves. Eventually, even the Free SHS graduates voted against them. NDC is gov for the people, by the people.

Democracy is government for the people. You can’t just hide under your room and come out with anything without consulting the people who voted for you. That’s is 1D1F FSHS all having series of problems till date

NDC’s 24-Hour Economy: A Grand Deception, Not Delivered! Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Ghanaians, When the NDC was in opposition, they promised you a "24-Hour Economy"—a bold, revolutionary policy that would create jobs, boost productivity, and transform Ghana into a non-stop economic hub. They even promised "1-3-3" employment, where three people would share one job to reduce unemployment. President Mahama said nightclubs would operate 24 hours, and businesses would get incentives to stay open round-the-clock. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communitions said waakye sellers will sell 24hours. But now, in government, what have they delivered? A footnote of the existing and ongoing GHANA BEYOND AID CHARTER- and not the bold, job-creating revolution they promised! We told them countless times, that the big talk they were making cannot be artificially engineered. You can’t put a gun to the head of a businessman to operate 24hours. We told them that, providing subsidised power does not automatically translate into 24hours. We told them, you cannot implement 24hour economy everywhere in the country. We told them 24hour economy in itself isn’t a policy but rather an outcome of a set of policies. They said we lie and we are naysayers! They are here today in office at the back of that scam of a promise and they are shifting the post. They specifically promised us a shift job system and they are unashamedly introducing to us an existing Economic Transformation Policy Document. Where in the document can we find the specific lofty promises they made under the so called 24hour policy. 1. The "24-Hour Economy" Was a Scam! The NDC sold Ghanaians a dream—that under their leadership, businesses, factories, and even government offices would operate 24/7, creating massive employment. REALITY CHECK: • No Mandate, No Shift Work Boom: They claimed three people would share one job via shifts. Where is it? • Public Sector? Forgotten! They promised 24-hour government services. Now? Only a few agencies (like ports) are mentioned and a few like Ghana publishing that have be operating 24hours long before the NDC came to office. And they do operate 24hours cos their sector demands it and not any special government intervention. • Nightclubs? Nowhere in the Plan! Mahama specifically said nightclubs would run 24 hours. But the policy document doesn’t even mention them! Conclusion: 1. The NDC lied about a 24-hour economy. They tricked voters into believing in mass employment, but all they delivered is a consultant’s report—not real change. 2. The "1-3-3" Job Promise? A Joke! The NDC promised three workers per job to tackle unemployment. It sounded too good to be true—because it was! REALITY CHECK: • The policy document does not mention "1-3-3" even once! • Instead, they talk about 1.7 million jobs by 2028—but these are just regular jobs, not the shift-based employment they promised. • The document even admits that unemployment will still be at 12% by 2028 (Table 2, p. 35). So where is the massive job creation they promised? Conclusion: The NDC abandoned their flagship job policy. They deceived Ghanaians with a catchy slogan, then ditched it when they got power. • No guaranteed electricity or security for night-time businesses—just vague promises. The country has already been knocked into Dumsor. Conclusion: The incentives are useless for most businesses. The NDC overpromised and underdelivered. Final Verdict: The NDC Lied to Ghana! • No 24-hour public sector. • No "1-3-3" jobs. • No nightclub revolution No Techiman highways vulcaniser working at 3am • Just another Copy & Paste from an existing GHANA BEYOND AID CHARTER which is more wholistic that addresses our country’s economic fundamentals and reinforces our earlier position on the 24hour Economy not in itself being a policy but an outcome of a set of policies. Ghanaians were sold a dream, but the NDC is delivering a scam. #NDCLied #NDCscam

In the NDC Attempt to spin their way out of the crisis they have plunged the cocoa sector into, they attempted to deflect the conversation and pin it in the previous NPP Government even when it’s an obvious miscalculation on the part of the government. They attempted to use debts at CocoBod as the reason for the current situation. This fight is a fight between NDC Government and Ghanaian cocoa farmers. NPP doesn’t come in at all. But for the purposes of records, let me state these few facts! WHAT NPP INHERITED IN 2017 1. The NDC in 2017, left a Debt of GH19 Billion Cedis at CocoBod which was inherited by the NPP. So if they have a 32Billion debt, it include their accumulated debt they left behind plus interest from 2017. 2. The NDC left a rollover liability of about 190,000 metric tonnes for the NPP to deal with 3. In the 2017/2018 period, Cocoa prices on the international market dropped 4. The NDC introduced Cocoa Roads for the first time at Cocobod and left Huge cocoa road debts by the tome they left office in 2017 5. The NDC contracted $1.8 Billion Syndicated loan in 2016 and squandered all without completing the supply of the cocoa beans. Infact after the NDC lost the 2016 elections, between December 9th - 30th December, they spent $400milliom left from that loan paying off Road contractors when we still had cocoa beans to buy and supply INSPITE OF ALL THE ABOVE LIABILITIES The NPP Government then, never used the debt inherited at Cocobod, the dropped international market price , the rollover cocoa beans inherited as an excuse to reduce farmer price. The Akufo-Addo Government then, maintained the farmer price at GH475 so they don’t inconvenience the farmer. The Nana Akufo-Addo Government paid the penalty of $7.5million dollars on the unfulfilled cocoa supply contract by the NDC and went ahead to fulfil the supply. ANOTHER FACT 1. The NPP on 7th January 2025, left in the CocoBod Account at Ghana International Bank, London, an amount of $500million Dollars, Cash. 2. The NPP Government on 7th January 2025 had already sold and expecting revenue in excess of $1billion Dollars 3. That explains why in the first 4 months of 2025, Cocobod received in their accounts revenue amounting to about $1.8billion Dollars as reported in the budget by Hon. Ato Forson. The fact is that, the current situation is simply a poor trading decision and nothing to do with debts at Cocobod, there has never been a moment in our recent history, Cocobod didn’t hav debt and never did debts at Cocobod lead to such massive haircut on Cocoa farmers price. The earlier this government owns up to this incompetence and finds a solution to it the better. The deflections, the attempt to push and short responsibilities, will not work. The farmers deserve better and must have their price restored without delay #CocoafarmersHaircut

VINDICATION CAME TOO EARLY In September 2024 in the run up to the elections, I sat down with KSM and i made a clear point about how complicit the NDC are in the galamsey challenges of this country. I gave clear cut reasons which are grounded on their actions and utterances. I expressed my fear with putting this country in their hands if Galamsey is a concern to all of us. This was the time when NDC members like Prof. Gyampo and his friends were actively misleading the citizens under the guise of being neutral and agitating for a state of emergency for something he knew clearly was being enabled by his political party. Alas, there were myriad of issues confronting the NPP administration then, and so it was difficult for clear voices like ours to be heard and these so called neutrals and academics took advantage to hoodwink the entire country into voting for the NdC. Barely 8 months into their administration and the NDC is already fast proving every single point I made in this interview. Today, it has become evidently clear, that, the Government, its functionaries and party executives are actively enabling Galamsey and some effectively participating in it. The AOWIN traditional council petitioned the president about the involvement of the Member of Parliament in Galamsey The National Organiser of the NDC is seen busily urging on Galamseyers and asking the president to abandon the taskforce efforts The National Organiser and the Vice chairman have been cited by the Government officials for alleged involvement in Galamsey. The upper Denkyira East NDC chairman has been caught on live TV fighting the millitary and asking them to leave him and his party people alone to mine illegally. The TUC told the president to his face about how Galamsey has escalated since the NDC government took over. Wheeew!, we have the real Galamseyers in power and that’s a real crisis and threats for this country. All this government has to do, is to simply implement the specific promises they made to us as their proposal for dealing with Galams

PRESS STATEMENT For Immediate Release; 28th November, 2024 NDC CALLS ON SECURITY SERVICES TO DISREGARD FAKE PUBLICATIONS EMANATING FROM THE STABLES OF THE NPP. The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken notice of a deliberate disinformation campaign being waged by the failed and desperate New Patriotic Party, calculated to hoodwink personnel of state security services into voting for them in the December 7 polls. In the past couple of days, the internet space has been inundated with several fake stories put out by the NPP to the effect that, the NDC will sack new recruits and other personnel of our revered state security agencies when elected. One of such fabricated stories, is a widely circulated memo attributed to the General Secretary of the NDC, in which it is falsely claimed that the NDC will cancel enlistments and appointments into all state security services and dismiss all new recruits when the party assumes the reins of government in 2025. Another one of such concocted publications, is a flier with the logo of a fake news account of the NPP, “NEWSGH360”, which bears the image of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the inscription, “NDC PLANS TO CONDUCT A FORENSIC AUDIT AND REVIEW OF ALL APPOINTMENTS MADE TO STATE SECURITY SERVICES SINCE 2017”. For the avoidance of doubt, the said publications are totally fake and should be treated with utmost contempt. Neither the General Secretary nor the flag-bearer of the NDC has made or issued the said false statements attributed to them. The NDC has also noticed the recirculation of a video culled from a press conference addressed by the National Communications Officer of the party in the year 2020 on brutalities meted out to NDC supporters by some NPP hoodlums during the 2020 voter registration exercise in the Banda constituency. The said video is being recirculated by the spin doctors of the New Patriotic Party at this time to support their malicious agenda to pitch our patriotic and hard-working security services against the NDC. For the avoidance of doubt, the statements contained in the said 2020 video, were not in any way directed at our noble men and women in uniform. Rather, they were directed at those NPP hoodlums who were clothed in military uniforms and were captured on tape beating innocent civilians including NDC supporters during the 2020 voter registration exercise in Banda. For the records, the NDC acknowledges and honors all the noble, professional and patriotic personnel in our security agencies who work tirelessly to protect our dear nation. We have no intentions whatsoever to victimise any personnel of our revered security services. We therefore urge our security services and the general public to disregard these concocted publications from the NPP. The NDC has on several occasions cautioned the media and the Ghanaian public to be on the look out for the NPP’s campaign of disinformation. Seeing defeat staring them in the face, with few days to the crucial 2024 general elections, the desperate NPP has resorted to the spreading of fake news to mislead unsuspecting members of the public. The NDC calls on the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to ensure a timely investigation of these fake publications and bring the culprits to book. The sources and purveyors of these fake stories are known to all of us, including the Ghana Police Service. We urge the Police to act swiftly. Apart from the fact that the turbidity level of most rivers have moved from bad to worst in the last 8months, let no one mislead you to accept just tubidity level as measure. It’s just one indicator. What is the true measure of water quality is the WATER QUALITY INDEX by the Water Resources commission. It uses the turbidity levels and other 4 indicators to ascertain our water quality. That’s more comprehensive. st ixahalli Trors in the rdmye thewer And the records from 2005 - 2024 show clearly that, the water quality deteriorated from bad to worst anytime the NDC is in power and improves when NPP comes to power. As at 2010 when the river Galamsey escalated in earnest under the NDC government, the 40 fairly Good water were destroyed and as at 2016, the NDC left us with only 15 Fairly Good water and 25 Poor quality water. The NPP between 2017 - 2024 improved our water 15 to 29 Fairly Good water and reduced the poor quality water from 25 to 10 with 1 Good Quality water. Let no one tell you otherwise, the data is available online. Read for yourself. Galamsey remains a major challenge for this country and the earlier this NDC government realizes the times we are in, stop referencing Akufo-Addo and get to work to fix the situation the better. The record of the NDC per the data is clear. Times have changed and people are now ready to hear and understand the issues than they did in the past and there will be no room for misleading information. #GalamseyEnablers
