People need to respect different dog breeds and boundaries. Just because a dog doesn't find value in a stranger petting it doesn't mean it's aggressive or was abused. Dogs are bred for different reasons, and some are born protectors. I never approach a dog without asking the owner first.

I teach my kids never to pet any animal period even with permission, you never know how they are gonna act or if they snap. This trainer was training her dog to be a service dog when a little girl on the street insists on petting the dog, potentially undoing months of training. Even after being told nicely not to do it, she follows the dog and stuff pets it. I am willing to bet if she kept petting the dog and the dog eventually bit her, her parents would be the first to sue even though she provoked it.

This man has his American Bully dog at a park. The dog was sitting in a sit/stay training excercise. He’s had extensive training. He did have a leash on but his owner obviously didn’t have the leash in his hand, part of his continued training. As the owner walks back to him, a gentleman comes up and asks him to please put him on a leash and to hold the leash because there is a lot of distractions at the park. The owner replies “that is part of training.” The owner said “If I thought there was even a small chance he would harm a kid or react the wrong way, I wouldn't put him in that position. This isn't luck. This is hours and hours of real world training, consistency, and building him up around distractions the right way….. Breeds like American Bullies and similar dogs get judged before people even see them work, but this is what they're really about with the right leadership. Loyal, stable, and solid companions.” Some people said the gentleman who approached the owner was putting his own insecurities on a very well mannered dog. He had instant judgement. Others at the park complimented the owner on how well behaved his dog was. What a good boy that dog was. ❤️ Would you be upset if you were at the park with your child and saw this dog sitting there with his owner about 50 yards away? Do you think the owner was irresponsible? Do you think the gentleman had a right to be concerned and a right to remind the owner that there was a lot going on?

Sharing this video from a lady who recorded this young woman at Pet Smart in Downingtown, Pa. in case you take your dog to that Pet Smart. You may want to take your dog to another place if that’s how they treat the animals there. “I am absolutely livid...I took my small dog to get his nails trimmed this afternoon at the Downingtown PetSmart and noticed how this other groomer was handling this bigger dog, who is obviously the sweetest dog ever. The dog is very calm, no aggression and not fighting back. She literally had the easiest dog to care for. Yet she tugs and pulls this dog's ears, head and legs aggressively. (I started recording because I watched her pull this dog's paw so hard...the dog responds by pulling its paw back and in doing so its paw hits the metal pole.) She clearly was upset about something and was taking it out on the dog. She obviously has no compassion for animals. I told the manager and she said she had to review the camera. I am absolutely livid. Am I overreacting or do you see this treatment towards this sweet baby. I hope the owner sees this and gives this dog extra love tonight because how can an animal tell its owner my neck hurts, my head hurts, my ear hurts or my paw hurts. I will be calling tomorrow.” PetSmart That woman should be fired immediately! That was the sweetest, most well behaved dog I’ve probably ever seen. Shame on that employee and shame on Pet Smart.😡

A family’s small dog named Muni Mya was attacked by a neighbor’s so-called service dog right outside their apartment building - the owner said her daughter Rihanna took the dog out to use the restroom and the large dog jumped off the patio and went straight for her neck while she was screaming for her life. The father came flying out of the apartment and neighbors who witnessed it caught it all on camera. They also have video of the same dog attacking another tenant and his dog on a separate occasion. The real question here is how a dog with a documented history of aggression toward other animals and people is being classified as a service animal - that title comes with privileges and access that a dangerous dog should never have. Service animal fraud is a very real problem in this country and innocent pets and people are paying the price for it. Do you think there should be stricter requirements to certify a service animal? And if you own a dog - do you have full control of your pet when you take it for a walk?

This woman reserved a ride with Lyft. When the driver showed up, he pointed to her service dog and said no, and took off. She says this happens all the time and his vest clearly says “service dog”. She suffers from seizures and has to have the dog with her at all times. Many pointed out that there is an option to select that you have an animal and someone from Lyft who picks up animals will take the reservation. But, it does cost more. But others pointed out that her dog is not a pet, it’s a service animal and by law, they cannot refuse the ride. Some stated that they would refuse the ride too because she didn’t let them know she had a dog and some drivers may have a fear of dogs or be allergic to them. So what’s the solution? Should she sue them for violating the ADA act? Should she pay more for an animal allowed ride and if so, why does she have to pay more? Your dog has an accident inside a business… what’s your next move? I don’t care how well-trained your dog is - if it happens, you own it. Walking away and leaving employees to deal with urine or any other mess isn’t just inconsiderate, it shows a complete lack of respect for the people trying to do their jobs. Businesses shouldn’t have to clean up after irresponsible pet owners. Am I expecting too much, or should every pet owner clean up after their own dog?

This tiny New York City apartment, 80 x 150, goes for $650 a month! 🤯 She has no oven and her bed is up a ladder and there is about two to three feet of space from the bed to the ceiling. Her bathroom is actually outside the apartment down the hall. She has to walk past her neighbors to get to it. She goes up on the roof outside to get some space, do some work and maybe a little yoga. But get this, she has a dog! She said she sometimes leaves the dog in the apartment or she takes him to daycare. 🤔 I could not live like that. I could not sleep like that and I could not shower like that. And, I could not have a dog in such a small space. Many, many people said that she should not have a dog and should not be allowed to have a dog in such a tiny apartment. Do you think it is cruel to have the dog with her? We receive 100+ Dog bite cases daily in our emergency. Pet Dog bites are more frequent & dangerous as I noticed in ER because multiple times we needed surgical & plastic surgery intervention. If you get a dog bite by stray or pet dog immediately go to hospital or nearest anti rabies centre to receive ARV &ARS/HRIG as per the dog bite category. If blood comes after dog bite always receive ARS/HRIG. There are proper guidelines for the rabies vaccine so always visit the nearest centre in case of dog bite whether it is stray or pet. The same applies to cats or monkey bite as well. #Rabies

This is the kind of attitude you often get when politely informing dog owners that their dogs should be kept on a lead on nature reserves.. This was last night at WWT Steart Marshes, where there are signs at every entrance asking people to keep dogs on leads as it's a wildlife sensitive area. (I've cropped the video to not show their faces, my intention is to show the general attitude of some dog owners who do not respect nature reserve rules, of which there are many unfortunately.. 😕)

The homeowner posted a video of a lost dog on social media. It’s been around for about a week and has been drinking out of their swimming pool. The owner sees the video and goes to their house to get the dog. The homeowner told them where they last saw the dog, that’s when the owners of the dog started berating the homeowner for not catching and restraining the dog for them. Was the homeowner wrong for posting the video of the dog if they didn’t have it caught and safe or is the dog owner being entitled for expecting others to do what they haven’t done for over a week?

An Indian street dog was beaten with a stick in Sector 42, Noida. Thankfully, samaritans rescued the dog on #InternationalDogDay Man: “This is a street dog… somebody beat it with a stick.” Woman: “Even if you can’t feed them, at least don’t beat them with a stick.” The dog was profusely bleeding and this couple rushed the dog to the verternairy clinic twice to get the dog treated. Cruelty on animals is never ending in India. Unfortunate !
