James Watson paid a steep price for telling the truth, but that doesn't make what he told any less true. People get bent out of shape when you mention this, but it's one of those facts that just explains so much about the world. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Racial and group differences exist across the board (why are so many pro athletes black, for example?), but somehow IQ is the one people balk at? Why? It's not an indictment of every black person any more than it is of every white person whose group has a smaller average IQ than Jews or Asians. It just is what it is. Doesn't mean there aren't brilliant black people or stupid whites or Asians. It can, however, explain a lot about the group inequalities that exist and are currently blamed on white people.

No one has a problem talking about how the rich have higher IQs or people who grow up in stable families have higher IQs or people whose parents were smart have higher IQs but mention race and everyone loses their minds. Blacks get annoyed that they have lower IQs on average but you don't see white people complaining that East Asians have higher average IQs than them. Since "the Enlightenment" we have become addicted to the false god of equality
