There is a huge protest going on in Pune against river front development. People who stay in cities with concrete river fronts, is it better than having a forest and trees around it? What is your opinion?

Riverfront developments are great to make areas more accessible to the public. Patches of forest canopy, walking trails can be incorporated in.

River side development is happening because builders are launching projects on the riverside. It’s a lobby pressure to make it more attractive so they can sell at higher premiums. There is no environmental benefit

Relax, Pune proudly hosts the world’s only Green River with all flora, fauna, lasun and every possible thing, except a drop of clean water. They shouldn’t built anything and ruin the beauty.

Concrete is worst , but for Ahmedabad it was illegal settlements or concrete, so concrete is better, if you can have flora fauna developing along the river nothing better

Lolz have you ever been to Sabarmati River front. It's was slums and all dirt before. It has been well integrated with ample of trees around. Stop snorting protein before virtue signalling.
