There is a huge vibe shift at the moment. Sam talks much more dramatically. „Programming at the beginning of 2025 and the end of 2025 will be completely different.“ What has happened what did Sama see?

senior full-stack web developer with almost 15 years of commercial experience here. — I don't write code anymore. This doesn't mean I stopped programming or that 'everything happens by itself'. My role has simply shifted from typing code to 'shaping' software by chatting with LLMs. My experience still matters, and AI amplifies how I can use it. AI helps me reach beyond my current competence boundaries in learning, exploring, and using new tools I'm just starting with. There are more and more specific tasks that LLMs can perform much better than I can, but it seems that's not enough to fully automate the process at this point. So yeah, I agree with Sam on this. I'm just not sure how big this change will be.

SWE agents

He sees the Singularity! The point where the progress gets unmeasurable, unimaginable. What the public gets from OpenAI are polished tools. Just imagine what they see internally. During training & testing. What they already have which is not yet polished! Singularity!

FFS he ALWAYS talks like this.

The future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed. Some of us are already living in the future… 🤓
