Agreed only roughly around Rs. 22 is left from Rs 100 Collected as a GST on insurance. But Madam FM , 18% GST is like very much burden on middle class people !! Need to reframe this is what we are demanding.. There must be some solution to this !! Hope you will make it clear soon if there is any option to rethink on this tax structure.

Ma'am, forget about that time which is long gone. How about doing some real work for the current taxpayers instead of blaming the previous regimes? Also, look at the state of infrastructure built during your government post 2014. Everything is crumbling. Don't you thing there were corrupt practices involved?

I asked Vince if he would rather invest in $10B companies that could go to $100B rather than $1B companies trying to go to $10B. He said usually yes and gave an incredibly clear articulation for why. There hasn’t been quite the level of anti-Israel invective in Ireland as one might expect since the beginning of this war. I would argue that this is because the Iranian community in Ireland have been making their perspectives heard have been essentially unanimous in opposition to the Islamic Regime and in support of the US and Israel (this isn’t written as a value judgement, it is written as a fact). Even RTÉ (!) had an Iranian woman on Morning Ireland this week who described Khamenei’s death as ‘one of the best days of my life since my son was born’. This perspective is coming as a surprise to a lot of Irish people, who would have incorrectly assumed that Iranians hate Israel. The Irish public have been profoundly let down by the Irish media/political establishments, which have simply not reported/commented on the Islamic Regime and its role in the Middle Eastern conflicts (especially Israel/Palestine) appropriately. When you have a media class lying by omission regarding the Islamic Regime’s destabilising of the region through its terror proxies, when you have a political class cosying up to the regime by choosing to open a new embassy in Tehran and writing sycophantic letters to the regime’s president…is it any wonder that Israel has been positioned as the ultimate villain in the region in Irish consciousness? The smashing of that narrative by Iranians themselves, is definitely taking many people here by surprise. I was in Tel Aviv at the outbreak of the previous war with Iran and filmed this video for my Irish acquaintances on Instagram after one of them sent me a nasty message asking why Israel was starting a war with another country that ‘hasn’t done anything to them’ (!). It is of course rudimentary information, but nonetheless it is information that has been almost entirely omitted in Irish public discourse on Israel/Palestine. The health of the banks today is that they are paying returns to the government and with that money we are able to do more meaningful welfare projects. But when you left in 2014, you left the banks in such a fragile situation that I had to give ₹2.8 lakh crores for recapitalizing them. If that money was available, our fiscal deficit would have been better. Then you can showcase what my fiscal deficit was and compare it with yours. You have pushed everything under the carpet and say, "You never will match that period. Your growth is not good enough now." If I do those sort of things, it will be three times better. We don't do any of that. The proposed Economic Stabilization Fund will provide fiscal headroom to allow India. How am I able to do? Having created the fiscal headroom, I'm able to allow India to respond to the global headwinds such as the recent crisis. We are able to mobilize that kind of money because the headroom is available. Imagine in 2014, would I have had the comfort? No, because I'm recapitalizing banks, I'm paying loans, I'm lifting the economy from where they have left the fragile five.
