Maria, Still Moving Like She Doesn’t Care Watching Debbie Harry perform “Maria” in 1999 is interesting for a reason that has little to do with nostalgia. This woman is vacationing in Destin, Florida. She, like many people, are upset that they can’t go in the water. She doesn’t understand why there are red flags up for 1 foot waves. She compares it to our grandfathers storming the beaches of Normandy and the 6 foot swells they had. 🤯 Some people agreed with her saying that’s why they won’t go back to the gulf beaches. That they spent lots of money on a vacation there and there wasn’t a day they could even get their feet wet! They said they’ve seen worse waves on a lake. They said there is no storms, no reason whatsoever to close the beaches and in their opinion, they just didn’t want to work. 😳 Still others reminded them that it’s not just the waves, it's the rip currents, which they are standing right in front of and they're just trying to keep people protected. But people will let their kids play and swim in rip currents, then drown. And that kinda ruins a vacation. 💯 What do you think? Do you think it feels like they are being overly protective this year and should let people know the water? LITTLE MIRACLE WITH LENAMIU #LMLenaMiuXLittleMiracle Insights on Pheem and Parn 🎤: can you give us little spoilers about the characters? 🦋: pheem is someone who doesn’t say what she really feels, who always has to get what she wants. 🧸: doesn’t say what she really feels (acts tough), but is very kind hearted 🦋: yes, whenever she loves someone, she really loves with all her heart. Her words doesn’t match how she feels. She’d say mean and harsh things, but in reality, when she loves, she’ll do everything for her. But just a little bit harsh with words. 🧸: yes, that’s true. She really loves intensely 🦋: loves in intensely 🧸: Parn is someone who’s really a fighter in life (never gives up). In terms of Parn’s personality, I feel she’s someone who really is a fighter in life and she values her dignity very highly. She doesn’t take advantage of or harm others; she’ll do everything (making an honest living) to keep going and survive in her life. And she loves Pheem a lot. 🎤: in the teaser you were so savage/sharp tongued, how much did you have to practice for that? 🦋: maybe not to the point of practising the skills (of having a sassy mouth). For me, I feel that every line that Pheem says there has got to be a reason, and I’ve got to understand where it comes from and why the character would say that. So, I had to do quite a lot of homework, especially when she’s going to insult another character or Parn. I had to understand what she was feeling; she was jealous, that’s why she said it. But it’s not insults that don’t have weight to them, because it wouldn’t feel like the character. So, I had to do homework that her insults always had a reason behind them. But in the end, she insults because she loves. 🎤: there’s a line ‘I hate…’ 🦋: huyy ‘I hate wh… like you’ (she didn’t say the word). Actually, every scene that was edited into the teaser might just be ten percent of the actual scene. This was just to make it enjoyable, but in the actual scene there’s a lot more to it than this. 🎤: and how will Parn handle her harshness? 🧸: Parn, does give in to Pheem, even though she might not usually do it with others, but with Pheem she does give in a lot. But deep down Parn can feel the love that Pheem has for her. Even though Pheem’s words might be harsh, and sometimes certain actions that viewers might think are too harsh or intense, but deep down she knows that Pheem means well. She does it because she really loves. She does it because she’s protective and wants Parn all to herself. 🦋: this is love, right? Cause you understand. What I mean is understanding Pheem. 🧸: yes, you can feel it because when we’re acting, there are certain actions that in the end, regardless of her harsh words, but when a certain situation happens…hey, I can’t, I’m giving spoilers now. This gives her audience the impression that something must be going on there because it took effort to find this place even thought it’s an airport. She then tells her audience that something feels off. Even though nothing feels off at all. This is one of Candace’s favorite tactics she just says things are weird or the vibes aren’t vibing instead of providing actual evidence. She then talks about a company having an office building as if it’s the oddest thing ever despite the fact that there are office buildings for various companies all over the world. So now having an office building is “weird” to her and “proof” that there’s a conspiracy. There was one person that was missing from this list that just did an incredible glambot. And i think this is a little bit of a balance of like great personality, gorgeous look, good vibe in the conversation, just did really, really well on social as well, but that's not it. That's not the reason. Like I'm not picking this because it did well on social. Picking this because it's one of my favorites. Ren Susu, to me, is like a candle in a dark room. She was never afraid of giving people warmth, even if every act of kindness meant another piece of herself melted away. She spent so much of her life becoming light for others that she never noticed she was slowly disappearing. By the time everyone thank her for her glow, there was barely anything left of her. Love, happiness, and peace all feel temporary to her, as though they were never meant to belong in her life for long. So instead of waiting for fate to take them away, she lets go first. It isn’t because she doesn’t love deeply. It’s because she believes the people she loves would be safer without her. She is brave. She has never hesitated to do what she believes is right, even when it demands impossible sacrifices. Like Qingyi, she has an incredibly strong sense of justice, and she spends much of her life living for other people too. The difference is that Qingyi learned to give because he believed love had to be earned, while Susu learned to sacrifice because she believed her own happiness always came at someone else’s expense. She doesn’t put herself last because she is naturally selfless. She does it because she no longer believes she should come first. When she learns that Qingyi’s tendons were severed by the Huo family. She quietly asks herself, “What if, back then, I had pretended not to know you?” I think that single line tells us everything about how her mind works. There are endless what ifs inside her head. Little by little, those questions begin to erase the person she used to be because she genuinely believes that every tragedy suffered by the people she loves somehow starts with her. When something terrible happens, most of us instinctively ask, “Who did this?” Susu asks something entirely different, “What if I hadn’t done this?” She doesn’t look outward for someone to blame. She turns inward first. Every accident becomes her responsibility, every loss becomes evidence that she should have made a different choice, and every sacrifice someone makes for her becomes another reason to believe she only brings misfortune into other people’s lives. That’s why she keeps pushing Qingyi away. It was never because she didn’t love him. She loved him too much. She simply believed that loving her meant suffering because of her. In her eyes, she is a burden. A jinx. Someone whose existence inevitably invites tragedy. How could she allow the person she loves to stay beside her when she truly believes staying will only destroy him? Susu carries guilt in a way that borders on unbearable. If becoming the villain in someone else’s story means they get to live, she will accept that role without ever trying to explain herself. To her, being hated has always felt more bearable than watching someone she loves pay the price for staying by her side. I think a lot of that can be traced back to her childhood. When she enters the orphanage, survival becomes the only thing that matters. It teaches her a lesson that feelings are a luxury, but survival comes first. His mom wasn’t having it. He had a small pile of hoodie’s for $1000 because he feels like he needs to be styling but he forgets he’s not the one footing the bill. Should she have paid for it? I think she was being nice by saying he could have one $300 hoodie. No way in the world would my parents have bought these for me either but then again I knew better than to ask for anything like this. My oldest now for whatever reason won’t ask for anything that he feels is expensive. I just buy it for him. Maybe it’s a sign of maturity for him but I don’t want him not to ask me for anything he needs because of price. My mom had a way of always telling me she had no money even when it was necessities. She forced us kids to always go without and trained us not to even ask and now as an adult I resent her for it. There were times I dreaded walking to school when it rained because I knew my shoes with holes would get my feet wet or when I was cold in the winter because I didn’t have a good coat. But as for this kid, he needs to grow up, his mom is doing the best as she can, I think he’s just being spoiled and she’s right. I won’t spend money on anything I don’t see value in. My mom’s neighbor used to yell at my nephew all the time for no reason, he was only 5 years old when it happened. It got so bad I wouldn’t let him outside by himself anymore. On more than one occasion she would move her car when we walked by as if she was trying to bump him with her mirror. I left work and went over there to visit and when I pulled up I saw my mom outside having a screaming match with the neighbor. My nephew was standing behind my mom and I could see he was crying. I immediately went over there and asked what was going on.she said she came home from work and saw my nephew who I remind you is 5 years old, shirtless and running through a sprinkler in the front yard. She feels that he shouldn’t have been doing that in the front yard and how he was dressed inappropriately for all to see. I looked at him, he was shirtless and was wearing swim trunks and rubber water shoes. I was very confused as to what she meant by inappropriate. I told her he’s a little boy running around a sprinkler, it’s hot out and he wasn’t even close to her property. She said she didn’t care, it was the fact that he was out there shirtless and he shouldn’t have had to see it if he was doing it in the back yard like he was supposed to. My mom then chimed in and said she didn’t have to scream at him like that, he’s only 5 years old. The neighbor threatened to call the cops if she saw him running around shirtless again I told her to be my guest, he’s not doing anything wrong. I ended up calling her son who I grew up with, he and I were friends but as soon as he was old enough he ran out and never came back. Back at the pizza shop for whatever reason we always only had teenagers apply so most of my workers were all high school kids. There was this one 16 year old girl who was working there who is as entitled as can be. Anytime she made a mistake and it was brought to her attention, she would call her dad and her dad would come up to the shop to defend her. On this day we were short a driver so I was helping out delivering pizzas while I had the employees tend to the store. The 16 year old girl was trying to joke around and be funny, she through a dough ball at someone and it got stuck in their hair. Almost like gum it was a pain to remove. So that person in turn through a tomato at her and it splattered all over her clothes. She immediately got red in the face and started to cry. She had already clocked out and left when I got back from a delivery. About 5 minutes later her dad shows up and berates me for letting that happen to his daughter. I check the cameras and saw what happened and I even showed it to him but he still feels it was wrong for a tomato to be thrown at her so told him she started it and the other girl with the dough in her hair had to get some of it cut off. I acknowledged that both parties were equally wrong for participating in it but I wasn’t going to fire the girl who threw the tomato as she was responding to doing being thrown in her hair. He wasn’t exactly reasonable in response to my actions so I ended up banning him from the store.
