There is a Reason why it is called Vacation

I’ve never supported vacation classes, or even excessive homework. I think children need time to rest, play, explore outside the classroom.

Yes o we end up burdening and conditioning them to chew and poor and when they grow up and can’t think for themselves we get surprised

That’s the problem with PARENTING these days. The average parent literally “HATES” to see their children home. Because, they want to pursue their goals and focus on other things. I say this always, if you don’t have time to nurture a child, don’t bother to give birth. There are some life skills, values and experiences that only parents must provide to the children.

And yes Parents are complicit in this matter. Most of them have shifted from their responsibility and actually want others (teachers especially) to step in almost all the time when they are rather needed by their kids

I have always had a problem with this summer school thing. So me, my kids go to spend vacation with grandparents as well as cousins to help them get to know family well.

This is very true paaa but mostly the school targets parents who work 8am to 5pm. If both work in a bank you can't send your child to your work place. So this problem should be solved from the family set up 1. Let's get back to extended family 2. A parent should work from home

This is what I always tell my wife even extra classes self I'm not in support of it if my child is less than 10years old because i don't know what exactly u are going to teach this child that as young as he or she is can keep all in their mind just allow them to learn new things

Exactly it leaves zero room for positive exploration, creativity and critical thinking of the child

I’m a computing teacher and honestly I totally agree with you. During the Vacation classes, students just come in there compare outfits, phones and be teasing themselves with each other as in this is your man, this is your woman. That’s our system for you.
