My approach to college athletics reform empowers the NCAA to make and enforce ground rules for things like the transfer portal and NIL. The government should not set the rules for college sports. God forbid politicians be tasked with determining what constitutes pass interference.

This is a really good take on the current landscape of college sports right now with the transfer portal and NIL. Kim Mulkey says there needs to be more regulation in place. She also credits Flaujae 4️⃣ and her mom Kia J Brooks for the way they do business and secure brand deals.

College sports have reached a breaking point. Programs are disappearing. Women’s and Olympic sports are being cut. The transfer portal is the Wild West. My legislation, the Protect College Sports Act restores order, protects student athletes, preserves fair competition, and saves the sports and traditions fans love.

College sports is making billions, but the system behind it is being pushed to the breaking point. Five years of NIL deals, transfer changes and antitrust rulings have completely upended what used to be known as amateur athletics, leaving the NCAA struggling to enforce guardrails. Now Congress is stepping in. A bipartisan push behind the Protect College Sports Act aims to create national rules as concerns grow that the widening gap between college sports' haves and have-nots could eventually force more schools to cut women's and Olympic programs. Critics see something else: a massive federal overreach into college athletics. The Senate is expected to vote on the bill in September. Garrett Tenney reports. |Fox News Sunday

Bo Jackson says NIL is ruining college sports “I think it's teaching young kids how to run away from their problems. Number two, it's ruining college sports” “What they've done is, they've let the horses out the barn and forgot to close the gate. And they ain't getting them horses back in the barn” “You giving these kids all this money. Nobody have no financial sense. And their agents aren't telling them. They going out spending money like it's growing on trees” “They're driving cars and wearing jewelry that cost more than their parents' home. And it's just ridiculous” “You get pissed off because I yell at you for doing the dumb things on the field, so you going to go enter the transfer portal and you can leave and take that money with you?” “No, it shouldn't work like that because if you're going to sign a contract, come play with me, you got to adhere to the rules just like the professional players do. Bottom line”

College sports is worth fighting for, and if we don't, they could be gone for good. Congress is the only entity on earth that has the ability to grant the NCAA the antitrust status it needs to restore stability and balance to the chaotic system. Let's get it done.

The Transfer Portal and NIL have made College Football better and more popular than ever. The version of College Football you grew up watching is dead. But they have improved parity and forced College coaches to be better talent evaluators, culture builders and connectors.

President Trump is preparing an executive order that he says will try to revert the economics of college sports back to what they were like before players could profit from their name, image, and likeness. CBS News’ Major Garrett talks with Yahoo Sports writer Ross Dellenger on “The Takeout” about what the impact on NIL could be.

THIS is what the NCAA is focused on right now?? Punishing a mid major school for taking kids to a Knicks game? Come on! It's 2025 and we're throwing around million dollar NIL deals with no regulation, but we're still policing a $75 spending limit? The disconnect between enforcement and reality in college sports has never been more obvious. Time for the NCAA to catch up to where college athletics actually is in 2025.

College sports are in crisis. The transfer portal is out of control, programs are being cut, and costs are spiraling. Our bipartisan bill restores order, protects athletes, and preserves what makes college sports beloved and special.

Guess the NCAA wants to take away the fun and creativity of the game on Special Teams. Special Teams Coordinators and Head Coaches spend diligent time understanding the rules. Why eliminate this part of the game? Doesn’t the NCAA have bigger problems to solve currently like NIL and transfer portal? When you have a 61-1 vote against the new rule listen to the coaches who coach the game. The same coaches that warned you about NIL and transfer portal.

Combine the beauty of the campus with an elite football program and as Good as an NIL and rev share program as there is in the country with unwavering work ethic and you have a monster that should be a force in college football for years to come. Miami stock is soaring
