There is absolutely no difference between this play and the Buffalo play. Adams did not make any move. He caught it, secured it as he was tackled and then stripped on the ground. Same exact thing. Same exact. This is why fans hate the NFL refs. No consistency game... show more

No difference at all! 👀

Dave he caught the ball standing up. In buffalo he was off his feet and didn't survive the ground. It's not that hard.

"They wont show a replay!" Proceeds to show 2 slow-mo replays

They said he made a football move. They only showed the end of it. Read a book macdadsavage

@MacDadSavage Three steps and knee down is football move. @grok why is Dave Portnoy retarded?

Portnoy argues the Adams and Buffalo plays are identical—no football move, just a catch secured then stripped—showing ref inconsistency. Per NFL rules, a football move includes taking steps or tucking/advancing. Replays suggest Adams took steps with knee down before the strip, qualifying it, while the Bills play may not have. It's a gray area fans often debate.

@barstoolsports Pretty basic stuff actually if you have been watching the NFL for the last 20 years. Davante became a ball carrier, Cooks was in air and landed and didn’t maintain possession thru entirety of the catch.

Adams’ knee was on the ground after he caught it and Cooks never caught the ball. Very different plays

Adams had the ball secured with a knee down. Cooks did not. How is this still a question?

Couldn’t agree more. @NFLOfficiating is gonna have trouble explaining there way outta this one…

@LVVVKEY The difference is that he didn’t have to “survive the ground” because he had caught the ball in stride and was technically tackled before the ball came out Cooks hadn’t officially caught the ball until he came down with it

knee hit the ground you absolute retard

Very different. I would expect you to know the difference between the play for going to the ground. Cooks was going to the ground, so he had to survive the contact. He hit the ground ball came loose, and McMillan took it. Come on, dude.

He has both feet on the ground and was not going down when he caught it.. cooks was diving for the ball, meaning the ground is apart of the process.. come on Dave, you’re a sports guy, you have to understand the difference.

Bro stick to talking shit. Football ain’t ur thing

There is a difference you retard. Adams held on to the ball, no bobble, as his knee hit the ground. Cooks didn’t have control, there was a bobble there for not secured. You’re obsessed with Buffalo INT because I’d assume you lost money.

this is the stuff that drives fans insane. same play, different day, totally different ruling. no wonder nobody trusts nfl refs

There is a difference The NFL ref rig

You’re losing it man. This is completely different. He actually had full possession of the ball through contact. Over and out.

Not even remotely the same play

He was down before the strip

@TheoAshNFL explains it perfectly

Brother you cannot be this dumb? He actually makes a football play and then goes down, they are not comparable plays.

You’re a fucking idiot

Wrong — and I actually agree with Nick for once

@barstoolsports The NFL is literally a storyline just like the WWE. Total joke. Not a true sport.

No its not. Adams established himself as a runner. Cooks did not.

Thank you. Totally agree.

Dude, you are really exposing yourself as having no idea what you are talking about. These are obviously different situations.

Dave Portnoy you’re forgetting the most important part is that unlike Cooks, you can see the receiver survived the.. the uhhhhh..

Cooks never had possession of the ball when knee touches the ground.

Watch the videos together and not screenshots…it’s close but it’s not the same

Adams survived the ground, Cooks didn't - a major difference.

The NFL wanted the Broncos. It's clear. CBS's officiating commentary guy came on right away and said the receiver didn't have possession directing the narrative. Now Bo Nix is out and the NFL is going to have a dud of a game.

@barstoolsports YES there is difference Dave. Broncos DB gets hands on ball in the air while in the processes of the WR trying to make the catch before hitting ground.Bears DB gets hands on ball After Adams secured the catch then strips him as a runner, but his knee was down. Both calls correct.

Absolutely no difference? Adams caught it upright, turned, and fought for yardage. He established himself as a runner. Cooks caught the ball while falling to the ground. If you don’t establish yourself as a runner you basically have to catch it, keep it, standup with it.

A few diferences. 1. He's not on his way to the ground in the process of catching it. 2. He ducks to protect himself which counts as a football move. 3. Because he's a RUNNER, once he's hit and knee touches he's down. This is not hard.

Big difference! He made a football move here.

I like this video because it demonstrates how you can be the exact same guy doing the exact same thing and get wildly different reactions from women, from creeped out to curious to googly-eyed giggles. The key is not to be that invested in any particular interaction.
