The wild part is those halls were designed entirely by ear, no acoustic modeling, and they still beat anything we build with simulation software today. Which hall was this? Some of those rooms have reverb you literally cannot replicate.

I love live classical music! My niece is a professional cellist and we used to go to her recitals all the time. She works in the pit on Broadway now.
