West Bengal Elections: Usually, leaders are seen giving money for votes. But in Shyampukur, the trend has flipped—people are voluntarily contributing to BJP candidate Purnima Chakraborty as a gesture of support. This is a traditional stronghold of Shashi Panja, who is in the fray again-but the mood on the ground seems to be changing this time.

#WATCH | On egg thrown on TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh, party MP Kalyan Banerjee says, "What is becoming of West Bengal! When MLA Kunal Ghosh was leaving from the residence of Didi and speaking to the Press, goons of the BJP threw eggs. Police were here but they did nothing. When CID had come here, I had pointed out that both witnesses are BJP people. One of them was this youth (shows a picture on his phone) who was a part of the group which had come to throw egg. I called up the Police Commissioner, it has been 25-30 minutes but nobody has come. There is threat to our life...This is the situation in West Bengal..."

#WATCH | Delhi: Regarding the attack on TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, TMC MP Sagarika Ghose says, "It's highly condemnable, very scary, unjust, and I think this kind of incident shows that the BJP wants to do politics through violence and attacks in Bengal. I believe the BJP has completely destroyed law and order in Bengal. BJP workers carried out this violent attack on Abhishek Banerjee, and security was withdrawn from there, and the police were also missing from there. This is very unjust because whenever BJP leaders used to come to Bengal, when the TMC was in power, we made full arrangements for their security. Is this how the BJP wants to rule Bengal? I think the attack on Abhishek Banerjee today is a direct attack on democracy. Of course we will raise this issue in court, we will raise it publicly..."

What is this Mr. CP Kolkata; Shri Manoj Kumar Verma (IPS)? How did the goons garner the ability to storm into a Durga Puja Pandal under the Jurisdiction of the Kolkata Police and threaten to vandalise the idol of Maa Durga if the rituals aren't stopped? The incident happened at the Puja Pandal of New Bengal Sporting Club at Garden Reach; Kolkata. The Organizers have already made a complaint to the Garden Reach Police Station. The Office Bearers and Members of the New Bengal Sporting Club have also provided video footage of the incident. How can you allow this to happen? I believe you will take the strictest action possible against the culprits and make them realize that it is Kolkata not Dhaka.

Kolkata, West Bengal: On Kolkata Police Removing a TMC Billboard, Former TMC Spokesperson Riju Dutta says, "... The KMC has gone there to carry out its work. If Abhishek Banerjee feels that he is running the government, and from Camac Street if he feels that he is running the KMC, and Corporation and the whole of Bengal, then he is wrong, this is his misunderstanding. If a complaint has been filed, there will be an investigation. If he has not done anything wrong, then what is there to be afraid of? The law will take its course"

#WATCH | Delhi: Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, says, "... 20% of global energy used to come from the Strait of Hormuz. 85% of our imports of crude, a large percentage used to come from there. But more importantly, our LPG, the cylinder gas, which you use in kitchens, about 60% used to come from the Strait of Hormuz. Now we had to make arrangements. I'm amazed at what we were able to do. Our domestic production of LPG prior to the crisis was 35,000 or 36,000 metric tons per day. We ramped up our domestic production from 36,000 to 54,000 metric tons. This by itself is a mind-boggling thing... Tell me any one country where prices have remained the same, and there has been no shortage anywhere in spite of the best efforts of some people to try to black market and raise false rumours. If I looked at some statistics, petrol consumption has gone up by 6%. In a crisis, there'd been no dry outs. Every petrol pump in the country has had petrol and diesel. LPG supply is more than enough. We have done some good things. We have ramped up LPG production. We brought consumption down a little..."

#WATCH | Kolkata, WB: TMC leader Sayoni Ghosh says, "The only message we have to give to BJP is that 'khela hobe'. In 2026, Mamata Banerjee is going to rule Bengal for the fourth time because the people of West Bengal are with her, and she is going to win with one of the biggest mandates so far." On the foundation stone of Babri Masjid laid in Beldanga by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir, she says, "Anyone can build a temple, anyone can build a mosque, but if behind it someone's intention is to create religious unrest here, then everyone knows that they are getting funding from the BJP and the BJP is encouraging them to disrupt law and order in Bengal."
