I just can’t get into playing the CPU vs playing a human. Feels like I’m missing out/wasting time. Always looks so fun seeing post like this then I start a franchise and don’t get passed the first menu

Yeah I agree it was an exploit, but to eliminate it entirely is crazy. Makes contracts entirely unrealistic and doesn’t match with what the real MLB is like today. Young guns getting early extensions

I'd rather it be gone than exploited. That being said they need to find a way to bring it (among A LOT of other things) back.

I’d still rather have the option of back loading a prospects contract to build around them in their prime. Just sucks that there’s always a step backwards with other advancements in this game.

What I mean is when you backload the CPU didn't recognize it. So you build around them in their prime then dump them with a huge contract and the CPU still sees them as the same value.

I think it is - the updates to CPU AI in game (pitcher/batter) is MUCH better. Franchise is better overall as well with the new trade hub. Really depends on how much more of an update you're looking for.

I pretty much just play franchise. Pop in crucial moments all through the year. No online all against the CPU - I’m old lol. Seems like it would be up my alley with those improvements

Love franchise. I usually play one game out of each series and sim the rest. Works great. But this year I have the second ranked team in the league but lose a whole lot when I sim. On season three now. Made the playoffs the first year. Missed it the second. This year I’m 15-11 😭

I did the fantasy draft. Using the Orioles. Right now I’ve got Vladdy, Jo Adell, Shane Longoliers, Chandler Simpson, Masyn Winn, Ian Happ. Pretty solid team and pitching staff is great too. Just can’t win consistently when I sim 🤷🏻‍♂️

i tried to get into franchise mode, but there are 162 games a season. I'm not going to play 162, i want to be able to grind through a season in a few days. But i also dont want to simulate 80 percent of the game either. what are yall doing to enjoy this

Wasn't on them. Current gen hardware doesn't read save files from game to game the same way.

I dont think this is true. Rumor has it it's cuz they had to switch the way saves worked when expanding to Xbox (worst decision ever).

If they would make a statement on it I'd feel a lot better if it truly wasn't on them. However, it still doesn't forgive a lot of what theyve done with the game since 2020.

Shoutout Mario Aguilar, who has become my franchise’s cornerstone 3B after spending two years in the minor leagues as my team’s top prospect. Everyday 3B since he proved he could platoon well in 28 and earned a starting role in 29. Franchise just hits different.

I don't play every game. Play 8-20. Imagine like 45 minutes per full game with like an hour of side stuff.
