Nuclear is a good alternative, but who wants to live near it? Not me. The Libs/NDP have also pitched it.

@Blue22Dave CO2 isn’t a pollutant. If you accept the premise that it is, you’ve lost the argument.

Why would you want a carbon free future? Think for God’s sake. You all sound like morons.

Many of us remember when your puppet master, Harper, gave away the reactor division of Atomic Energy of Canada, decimating a jewel among our crown corporations. The headline is as true today as it was in 2011.

I have an unpopular opinion. More carbon, warmer climate, more green space. Jurassic period had 2-3 times more CO2 (2k ppm) than the current level (416 ppm). Rich CO2 allowed the vegetation that supported the large reptiles for 56 "millions" of years. Let that sink in.

Small atomic reactors that serve a city rather than an entire nation are THE ANSWER. It's safe, clean, affordable, green, endless power.

@rexglacer It is ironic that the Liberal intent is to go green by scraping the earth’s surface, pit mining, for rare minerals to create systems that will deplete the minerals. Mining requires equipment that runs on fossil fuels and processed in China. All of it will end up in a landfill.
