I talked to all the CEOs. And the problem is there was nothing left... their airplanes were leased. I mean, there's really not a lot of value left. It had been leveraged so far. There was nothing left to buy." Secretary Duffy notes that while President Trump "cares the most about the employees," the aviation sector is currently hiring and other carriers are letting Spirit employees "jump the line" to get hired.
