Because we saw during the war what is called “rally around the flag.” Even those who were in the opposition rallied around the flag when their country was attacked. It is not only the Islamic Republic that is under attack, but also the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is how I see left wing Scousers - What irritates me more than anything about them is they have the arrogance to tell people on a daily basis “Scousers are left wing” and call everyone a Tory or a wool who disagrees with them.
