The same Rekha exposed her. A BLO passed misinformation to Rekha’s husband, claiming that Rekha’s name would be struck off the voter list and that she would be sent to Bangladesh. That misinformation pushed her husband into unbearable mental pressure and eventually led him to commit suicide. Let that sink in. Instead of accountability, what followed was a political spectacle. It is highly condemnable on the part of Mamata Banerjee to drag reputed social welfare organizations like Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Ramakrishna Mission into politics by raising baseless allegations. Such false statements made merely to appease a section of voters and gain some votes are unwarranted. Mamata Banerjee should know that if Swami Pranavananda Ji Maharaj, the founder of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, had not been there, West Bengal would have been a part of Bangladesh and not India.
