There is zero excuse for this. Every Memphian deserves a clean & safe place to call home. The conditions at Highland Hills Apts were unacceptable. Our community should never have to live surrounded by piles of trash because the previous property owner failed to do their job.

This is another reason why every child deserves a good father in their life. Children raised by their mothers have been statistically proven to be a nuisance to society. In America, social and economic programs were created by the system to remove men from the community and household since the 20th century. Welfare policies were created to further give incentives to black women to live without their men in order to weaken the Black community.

I’m glad to share that today Demetrios Nicolaides 🇨🇦 🇨🇾 announced a $69 million investment for the Mental Health and Well-Being Grant. This funding will ensure schools have the tools they need to support student mental health, address complexity, and create a better learning environment for everyone.

Serious illness, disability, and years spent in conditions that no one should have to endure. Yet they never gave up. This week, through the New Social Housing Programme, we handed them the keys to a safe, comfortable home where they will begin a new chapter filled with dignity, stability, and hope. This is the heart of the work we do. To lift Jamaicans out of substandard living conditions, to give our most vulnerable citizens the chance to live in comfort, and to ensure that no one is left behind. Every home we build is a statement that Jamaica cares for its people. And with your support, we will continue to build, to uplift, and to make sure that every Jamaican has a fair chance at a better life.
