Our support against the heinous #DogMeatTrade in #China "This is a breeder "expert" from Guangxi Pastoral Dog and Tusong Dog Breeding Center in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Here, he is disciplining a "naughty" puppy (in reality the puppy is scared, maybe injured). These dogs are most likely bred to be meat dogs, but these breeders sell them for any purpose: pets or meat dogs. As long as they get money, nothing else matters. When you order off of places like Amazon, they tell you to keep your dogs inside so that the drivers can deliver your products safely. When this driver arrived, there were two dogs barking behind a metal gate. They were perceived as aggressive. So she left the package behind the gate and moved on. The customer was mad that the driver left it in an area with the dogs, the dogs chewed on the package and ruined the products. They are wanting their product refunded because it was chewed up by dogs but it was their own dogs, should Amazon honor this refund?

This is not a Chinese family going on vacation with their dog. This is a dog likely bought from a wet market for meat. They have tied the poor animal to the back of their car and are driving on the highway as if he is just luggage. He has no idea what is waiting for him. That is what makes this so heartbreaking. This dog is still alive, still trusting, still innocent — and yet he is being treated with no care, no mercy, and no dignity. Dog meat eating is still a cruel reality in parts of China. Many of these dogs are stolen pets or helpless strays. No dog deserves this fate. Dogs are companions. They are not food.

This Japanese man gave up his Ferrari and Company to fund a dog shelter after his pet saved him from taking his own life 🥹 A 54-year-old man named Hirotaka Saito shut down his company and sold his luxury car to open a shelter for dogs. It happened after his own pet saved his life. Saito sold his Ferrari to buy land and build Wansfree, a shelter where dogs are free from chains. It now houses 40 dogs and eight cats. He hopes to raise funds and expand the shelter to 300 dogs by 2028. Years ago, during a financial crisis, Saito tried to end his life. His large dog blocked the door and stopped him from leaving. He realized the dog understood and was stopping him. This changed his mind, and he chose to live for others. He began rescuing aggressive dogs in Japan. Despite being bitten often, Saito patiently showed them love, never giving up on any of them. He started the Wansfree rescue center in Yaizu. It cares for dogs that bite or act out due to past abuse.
