There isn't enough interviews with sport stars having a beer, while chatting about stamping on an opponents head. (1996)

He almost believes himself

‘It wasn’t done intentionally’ that’s why I pressed his head down into the ground with my hand before stepping on it.

27 years later its still a deliberate stamp no matter how nice a man Martin is no explanation will change that. Later on if i remember right John Mc took someone out of it.

“I tripped over him”

Haha, cracking clip & context setter. He did mash his head quite deliberately into the ground but held back from the full on stamp and went with a more gentle, but effective, step & boot clip action. Impressive & impressive self defense while suppin on his beer. 👏👏👏

Nice memories of Navan there..... Robbie O'Malleys was a nice place. The Camera Cabin.... decent Christmas lights.....

Class. I've great memories of watching the '96 finals as an 8 year old in that pub, O'Malley's. Meath and Mayo knocking the shite out of each other. I remember Paddy Murray was there too for the first game, he got chatting to my Dad and mentioned us all in his column in The Star.
