If somebody is an expert in the field and was actually there and writes about their experience, that's in a lot of cases going to be better than a journalist because the journalist wasn't there." It was social media that brought out the case. When Lagacharla tribal women were attacked by police, no media reported. When University of Hyderabad Kancha Gachibowli was being razed by government bulldozers, not one media house spoke. It was social media that brought the issue to light. When people in the government abused women journalists in the assembly which media stood by them!? There is no investigative journalism anymore, in the mainstream media!” BRS Working President KTR! The reason social media is so popular is because mainstream media forgot to operate independently & became scared of standing up to those in power.
