15 years after the 3.11 disaster, Yuzuru Hanyu returned to Ice Rink Sendai to perform "Requiem of Heaven and Earth" at the exact time the earthquake struck, ending at the very spot where he felt it firsthand. 🥺 (full broadcast subbed 🪐)

Lloyd Center closes on Saturday and with that comes the closure of the historic ice rink. When the mall opened in 1960, it was the first to have a rink in it. Just 8 yrs after it opened, Ruth Aquino first stepped on ice there. She hasn’t known life without the rink ever since.

JENSEN HUANG SAID THAT ELON MUSK WAS THERE FOR HIM AS A CUSTOMER AT A TIME WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS. AND HE CLAIMED THAT ELON MUSK IS THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF OPENAI AND CHATGPT. “WHEN I ANNOUNCED THIS PROJECT, NO ONE IN THE WORLD WANTED IT. I DIDN’T HAVE A SINGLE PURCHASE ORDER. NO ONE WANTED TO BUY IT, NO ONE WANTED TO BE PART OF IT, EXCEPT ELON. HE WAS THERE AT THE EVENT, AND WE WERE ENGAGED IN A FIRESIDE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE FUTURE OF SELF-DRIVING CARS.”

The kind of performance that makes time feel slower for a few minutes. 🥹 There was something effortless about Yuzuru Hanyu’s gala routine at Beijing 2022. ✨

On Saturday 28 November 2015, Hanyu Yuzuru achieved the first free skate in history with over 200 points. With an absolutely perfect performance, he obtained 216.07 points, a score which was then exceeded only seven times. One of the best versions of "Seimei" ever skated by Hanyu and one of the best free skates in history. Eight years have already passed since then. Simply, a masterpiece

🦊: I went to a K-pop audition program (K-pop Star), and since then, people have known me from that show. One day, a person recognized me on the subway and asked if they could take a photo. Normally, we would think they wanted to take a photo together, but no 😅 🦊: The person just took a pic of me with their phone in front of my face 😂 🦊: At the moment I couldn't say no, because I'm timid

Nine years have passed since Hartwall Arena in Helsinki hosted figure skating's most memorable performance. In the early afternoon of a historic Saturday, April 1, 2017, Hanyu Yuzuru raised the bar to stellar heights by flawlessly painting the "Hope & Legacy" free program. It was the pinnacle of figure skating. One could add much more, but it would be redundant, as the images and the excitement of the audience speak volumes.

In 2008 I was asked to give the keynote speech at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas. The organizers read my speech the night before, and after doing so, told me it wasn’t appropriate, forbid me from doing it, and hastily arranged an interview format with David Bianculli instead. I was a bit pissed off but I admired David and was about to comply with the organizers wishes when a couple of voices in the audience yelled “Do the speech!” and “Free speech!” and we were off to the races. The organizers had cameras there to document the interview but told me afterwards that when I started the speech, they had turned the cameras off. Not sure if that was true but luckily, a couple of cell phone cameras were rolling and recently we have tracked down those clips and edited them together. This unsanctioned speech will be the inaugural offering in the category of Rabble Rousing, at when the website debuts on September 1st.

There are 750 women being held at the Richwood ICE facility in Louisiana where 97% of them have no criminal record! These women aren’t fed and if they are it’s rotten food! They have to work for three days for one loaf of bread because it’s a private prison! 🤬

Democrats stay silent when people on the left attack ICE, throwing fireworks at ICE agents, and causing chaos at ICE facilities. But the moment ICE responds or enforces the law, suddenly they have something to say. They are quiet when criminals commit crimes and loud when the government does its job. Completely backwards.

It wasn’t the best show, but I do miss Spirit of Aloha at the Polynesian. 😔 It was a little hokey but a lot of fun, even though the food was very forgettable. But it does suck that we no longer have a show at The Poly because of the new tower. I was really hoping they’d have one somewhere with it, but nope. Now the only dinner show we have is Hoop-Dee-Doo and they better not touch that one!

The Russians held a straight course for over 2.5 hours directly aimed at the stationary US military ship. If there was a steering malfunction they would have stopped propulsion and dropped anchor. Instead they rammed the US ship at 18mph.
