As much as Dexter is science smart, DeeDee is emotionally smart. She's a genius in her own way and this shows she is just as cold, calculating and capable of weaponizing her speciality as he is when she feels like it.

Doesn't she come into his lab without permission EVERYDAY, Break his stuff even though she MUST know this upset him, and now she is telling him no one cares about his work that she always ruins, she SUCKS, she wouldn't be talking if Dexter did that to her stuff everyday.

To be fair Dexter does act like a dick despite how annoying DeeDee can be. From time to time he needed to be humbled.

Funny how all that backfired at the end of the same episode. Some shows back then really tackled things I think adults related to more than children. Today, shows focus on characters and subjects people relate to now.
