Kaikai: The events were such that President William Ruto was boxed into a situation where he had to proceed on one or two options. One of the options was to dissolve the entire Cabinet and the other option was to relieve of their roles some of the CSs that particular issues had been raised about. The gravity of the events of the last few weeks left no option but to go through this route. This is a major victory for the Gen Z protesters #CitizenNewsGang

Following the tragic events that deeply affected us all over the summer, and the sentencing last week, we feel now is the right time to say: thank you to the amazing people of Southport, Merseyside and beyond. We will continue to be there for you as we move forward as a community. We are working hard to keep the area we so proudly serve a safe place to be. Despite us all being rocked by the events that took place last summer, we remain strong, united and we stand together. Please take a moment to watch this video and hear about how the police and community have supported each other in this toughest of times. As always, our thoughts remain with the families of Alice, Bebe and Elsie, as well as everyone involved in and affected by the tragic events of 29th July.

As First Minister, I’ve decided not to attend the White House events this year. The US President’s comments on forced expulsion of the Palestinian people of Gaza cannot be ignored. I will continue to engage with senior figures in the US for peace and economic growth. In the future, when our children and grandchildren ask us what we did while the Palestinian people endured unimaginable suffering, I will say I stood firmly on the side of humanity.

How much of your life is being shaped by decisions you don’t realise you’re making? Seth Godin has spent decades trying to understand that question. Seth is one of the most influential thinkers in modern marketing, leadership and creativity.
