The Irish times article has been countered by Gript media as being false. We also know from the data collated by the Danish authorities (which is often said the be the most comprehensive & transparent migration data in the EU) which also clearly shows a net fiscal drain resulting from migrants from certain regions. Then of course Shane throws in the predictable migrant health care staff line but always fails to mention that many migrant healthcare staff operating in western countries have likely obtained their qualifications fraudulently & 82% of sanctioned doctors in Ireland are foreign trained. I worked in London in the early 90's. As a proud Irish person the sight of Union Jacks and English flags did make me smile wryly, but it never occurred to me to be offended or demand they be removed. I was living and working in their country.
