"There will be strings attached" to any disaster and recovery aid Congress will "ultimately" approve for the California wildfires, says Senate Majority Whip Sen. John Barrasso. "It has to do with being ready the next time because this was a gross failure this time," he tells Margaret Brennan.

@margbrennan @SenJohnBarrasso How is California to control 100 mph winds dry arid climate low rainfall when the incoming administration doesn’t believe in climate change @SenJohnBarrasso

"In the end they're not coming after me, they're coming after you. I'm just standing in the way." Stand with Trump and America First Republicans by joining Mammoth Nation TODAY.

@SenJohnBarrasso Stings attached? Did Biden put strings on aid when Florida or Texas needed it? No! Any talk of "strings" to help Americans in need is disgusting and shameful!

@SenJohnBarrasso Who is this guy? He has to be the most out of touch senator from nowhere in the country. This prick brought up failure of the local, state and govt leaders? Those fires were not being stopped under those conditions, Period! Maybe WNC should just live on high ground.

@SenJohnBarrasso What a piece of shit response

@SenJohnBarrasso Boy, it's really something seeing our elected leaders go on TV and pretty much say, f*ck you Americans! We're not going to help you. #RepublicansAreHarmfulToAmericans

@SenJohnBarrasso There have to be strings, and there needs to be accountability. If not this will happen again. California promised in 2020 to remove 500,000 acres of brush each year, and never even reached 100,000 acres. It's horrible what this has done to 100s of thousands of people

@SenJohnBarrasso He's an idiot, Just like your next idiot, EYE OF NEWT.

@margbrennan @SenJohnBarrasso Could the strings attached be that CA keeps most of the money they give to Red states?

@SenJohnBarrasso 1) @margbrennan, We love #FaceTheNation, but having a Trump disciple on in the mist of the horrible devastation of the LA fires was not a good idea our opinion. There are 16 residents that are deceased so far, with many more deaths to come. For the WY Sen. to blame the fires on

@margbrennan @SenJohnBarrasso Sadly, Sen. Barrasso is simply expressing what the President-elect expects Republicans to say. Was the 2020 Mullen Fire in Wyoming also due to mismanagement?
