AVGN is still funny to me. I outgrew a ton of Internet personalities of this era and even cringe on their reviews now. But not AVGN. He’s still hilarious. Also James is a really chill guy irl. Everyone knows AVGN is just a character he plays.

the thing with AVGN is this was all a joke he was a caricature and he was funny, now we have guys who are unironically like this

This is still my all time favourite AVGN meltdown. At the point you think maybe he's actually getting too real, he gargles down some beer to show he's still doing a bit. And the cutaway at the end. It's so much funnier than if he'd shown what happened.
