I'm taking interactivity with the game to a whole new level baby! 🚀 Experience The sims 4 in ways you've never experienced before. And this is just scratching the surface of what could be done with this. This feature will be available in the Nights Of Terror mod on release, but I will also be implementing it to my other mods such as the Extreme Violence & Zombie Apocalypse mod. The new Battlefield 6 Helicopter "rifleaim" just dropped. Introducing: AssistedAim. We all skipped this setting because we want to fly manually. But you can't freelook and steer at the same time on manual flight. The freelook aiming has to be deleted. More details on why: The vehicles in BF6 are a mess. The strength of a helicrew should come from the positioning of the pilot and from how he deploys his gunner. Pilot damage output was always just an auxiliary force to aid with the destruction of a vehicle. Piloting skills are rare in the community. This new assisted flight setting makes it braindead easy to fly a helicopter and lets you position and employ your own weaponry BETTER than the manual setting. The worst part: These rocket pods. They are MADE to farm infantry, FASTER than your gunner can. Go back to having to fly the helicopter yourself, having to AIM your nose to deal damage, and having to carefully balance the helicopter to position it around cover, and you will find that the 250 kill manhattan games that are popping up recently will remain the exception, and not become the norm. One usual downside to inaccurate flying skills would be that the gunner would have a hard time hitting (as seen in BF2, BF3, BF4, BF2042) but the new camera stabilization in BF6 makes this completely irrelevant. You just zoom and hold the mouse button. It's not fun for anyone but the person racking up the kills. In its current state, the helicopter needs to be nerfed. But it's currently kept in check by the lightspeed RPG which, in turn, makes tanks unplayable; as well as the braindead easy TOW which harrasses jets and helicopters from anywhere equally without even giving them a chance to dodge it. Oh, and did I mention the jets that have a 200ms TTK on the helicopter, and thus on each other? It's just a rolling avalanche of balancing issues that currently most people that loved vehicle gameplay in prior battlefields I talk to, do not find very fun or engaging. You have once again concocted an ecosystem that is flawed in its entirety because you wanted to reinvent the wheel. I do NOT want to see what the littlebird scout helicopter, if it is added, would look like on this control scheme. As per usual, less would have been more. Finally got to ~zero input-to-display latency on macOS. It has taken us a _lot_ of work to get here! This is a slow-motion capture of a 120 Hz screen running a playbit program that draws a rectangle where the cursor is. The slight lag you're seeing is not from rendering latency but from "old" mouse position data (we receive it from macOS window server in a event queue.) Remember that the mouse cursor is drawn with dedicated hardware (dedicated GPU plane) so dragging a rectangle is the ultimate input-to-display latency test.

today Atlas celebrates it's first anniversary (one day old) so naturally, it's time for v1.1 → the #1 request: play videos & gifs right in the grid (toggle it on in settings) → full svg + pdf support (super handy for storing logos and icons) → ⌘-scroll to zoom (great if you're on a mouse + generally app now is way more stable with a mouse) → like badges on thumbnails (hide-able in settings for a cleaner look) → space to open (macos quick look style, also works on hover) → pan the canvas like figma (space + drag, or middle mouse button) → quick-like straight from the grid with ⌥-click → reduced motion (if the bouncy animations are too much) → big performance boost for power users (tested on a 50K item library) and many more. most of these improvements were based on feature requests and feedback from the app. please keep them coming. i’ve made the mistake of not listening to users enough in the past, trying things differently this time. download → (or use atlas — check for updates from the app's menu)

. Fortnite Status Fortnite shown below is the newest bug affecting xbox controller players as a result of your latest update-- 1.) When making micro-adjustments (as shown below), the game doesn't input the full motion--but rather only inputs about a quarter/a half of the motion, resulting in choppiness and jittering. 2.) Since the release of the new season, xbox controller players are also locked to 20/20 deadzones and the linear setting is leaning towards an exponential feel at the moment. 3.) Fortnite isn't realizing inputs with trigger stoppers or paddles occasionally since the new update, resulting in affected inputs due to increased latency. Please fix all of these issues as it literally makes the game both unenjoyable and unplayable.

Folks, here's another little design exercise that I spent the last few hours on 👍 This is based on a thesis I had for basically a decade now: Aiming in FPS games with the right analog stick is quite bad. Your thumb has maybe 1cm of travel on a tiny stick, fighting a spring, trying to make precise micro-adjustments AND fast 180-degree turns with the same input. If we're being honest, that's a terrible interface for the task. Your wrist, on the other hand, has roughly 180 degrees of rotational range, uses your entire forearm's muscle groups, and can make both ultra-precise micro-corrections and fast sweeping motions naturally. It's why mouse aiming destroys stick aiming: You're using your wrist and arm, not your thumb. So the thesis is simple: what if we just used wrist rotation directly as the aiming input? No VR headset, no special hardware. Just hold an old Switch1 Joy-Con in your right hand and rotate your wrist. Small rotations for precision tracking, larger rotations for fast turns. Recoil kicks the camera up and you instinctively tilt your hand back to compensate, etc. To me, it just feels right. I built a little prototype to test this. It has 4 weapons with some recoil, cover you can lean around, jump/crouch, lock-on targeting, ammo management, blablabla. The whole point is to see if this input method feels as good in practice as it does in theory. The aiming algorithm handles all the shitty stuff: Dead zones against shaky hands, auto-clutching when you unwind your wrist, asymmetric sensitivity because human wrists rotate further inward than outward, response curves for precision at low speed without sacrificing fast flicks, etc. I made a quick video to show the prototype in action. And if you wanna try it yourself, I put a small zip file up here that contains the executable:

So I think Battlefield 6's Laser-Locked MR missile on the IFV really needs to be looked at. You can solo both the lock and the missile alone, from spawn, almost unlimited range once fired and cannot be flared. This is a far better AA tank than the actual dedicated AA tank. Save Windermere has partnered with Map Impact and the UK Space Agency in what we believe is the most innovative data collection project ever constructed to study the inputs into Windermere. The project will use satellite imagery to study chlorophyll-a concentrations in Windermere. Chlorophyll-a is synonymous with phosphorus loading. Phosphorus is the key nutrient that’s causing the decline of Windermere. This satellite imagery will be used in conjunction with data from one of the UK's largest mobile networks, which will provide anonymised cellular data to determine the number of people within the Windermere catchment at any given moment. This will enable us to quantify the pressure from human activity (i.e., sewage) in the area and its impact on phosphorus concentrations in the lake. This will then be compared with other inputs like land use to see how impactful sewage is in comparison to these. This is why PR diff speed matters. This isn't a dunk on GitHub specifically, because GitLab, Forgejo, etc. are all equal or worse. But this is the kind of thing that drives me nuts, because this is a core workflow and its slow enough I literally take my hands off the keyboard. Btw, when my mouse jiggles on the left, its because the page is literally skipping frames and I'm instinctively shaking my mouse to see if it'll respond. And on the keyboard input you can literally here me finish typing before a letter even shows up. For someone like me who is an expert at these tools, my brain navigates the tool dramatically faster than it can keep up, and that is not good. The tool should not get in the way.
