I agree with most of your takes but I disagree firmly with you on this one, Batya. The ideological chasm is around the debt crisis. He’s been very consistent that he thinks it’s existential and he bravely, perhaps autistically and admittedly not tactfully, set his political capital on fire demanding we address it not exacerbate it. It’s as simple as that. If we end up like Argentina, MAGA’s populist project dies.
