Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Because we have forgotten that this violence is still possible if we are not honest, vigilant and decisive. People get so emotional about DNA issues that they refuse to think reasonably. If you, on your own volition, wake up one morning, and decide to go have a DNA paternity test of "your" children, then you must also be ready for the results that will come back to you. You must have reasonable cause to go for the test. That reasonable cause means you are not 100% sure if the kids are yours and hence need a confirmation test. The DNA centers are supposed to take you through counseling before you sign on to do the test. Don't go for a test and later come and disturb us online with the results. Nobody asked for it. The situation is different if you need to have the DNA test to help you complete some documentation for traveling etc. That one you didn't request for the test out of your own volition. So I can understand you if you are surprised when the results come. There is an Akan proverb that says "if you go searching for stuffs in the eyes of dead person, you will definitely see a ghost."

Does he realize what that would do to the economy if he started forcing these people out of the country along with the families they’ve created since coming here? Does he realize how many peoples’ lives would be turned upside down if you start deporting people who have been in this country for over a decade? Immigration is absolutely a problem in this country but if you’re gonna allow people to stay in this country for over 10 years, you don’t kick them out after they have families and children start contributing immensely to our economy. Figure out a way to prevent these people from coming in or removing them right away rather than going back and retroactively removing people who haven’t been here for 10 years or more.

Today was Day 1 of the rollout of courses under the #OMCP. I am excited about the number of young Ghanaians who logged in online and visited our learning centres in all 16 Regions today. There were challenges in some locations, but the team is working around the clock to address them as they arise, and I am hopeful that by the end of the week, we will be fully operational. This remains a huge investment in the people of our Country by John Dramani Mahama. I am humbled and privileged to play a part in this mega project. If you haven't signed on yet, get on board now. Tooele wow! You stirred up every emotion. We spent the entire day. The parade being our first ever will never be forgotten. The energy, the passion and commitment to family, loyalty, bravery and this great nation was felt in our hearts as we watched endless pride for this nation by young and old. Thank you for saying in action what we feel - thank you for our freedom America. We recognise and honor that it is earned by those who gave their lives so you and I can live this free! And to describe that feeling ‘free’ in words is impossible. My heart and mind is full. My soul confirms that there is only one better feeling than this and that is in the presence of the Almighty Himself. I am still singing. The energy, the passion and commitment to family, loyalty, bravery and this great nation was felt in our hearts as we watched endless pride for this nation by young and old. Thank you for saying in action what we feel - thank you for our freedom America. We recognise and honor that it is earned by those who gave their lives so you and I can live this free! And to describe that feeling ‘free’ in words is impossible. My heart and mind is full. My soul confirms that there is only one better feeling than this and that is in the presence of the Almighty Himself. I am still singing. Today exactly 2 months and 1 day ago I landed in this great country. And I am more proud and grateful everyday. Wow this week has been full of awesome stuff. We are officially official. Our Utah real ID’s arrived. Thank you US Postal Services, thank you Utah and thank you America! I have applied for about 60 posts in Utah before I became official. Maybe this next week will see some success. That what has been set aside for me will come. I believe it will.
