There's many problems that Zcash solves, including obviously privacy, simplicity, a roadmap for quantum resilience, scalability, some degree of lindyness given it's been around for 10 years, and got a good security track record. Balaji

Ben-Sasson, who co-authored the ZeroCash protocol whitepaper and helped found Zcash 🛡️, said that Bitcoin can still have native privacy and infinite scalability if developers can agree to reinstate OP_CAT, a Satoshi-era OP_Code that Bitcoin's creator disabled in 2010. It turns out that Zcash's resurgence in 2025 could be the catalyst for Bitcoin's privacy push. (In short, it’s had an #inflation bug for more than 4 years and now there are more rats scurrying from the ship than a Hantavirus hoax cruise) I’ve always been highly suspicious of Zcash, and with good reason: In short, Zcash is basically short for Zionist Cash, and they actually had a seed round done by the CIA, the developer buying privacy focused cryptocurrencies. Zcash has raised 500,000 from In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the US CIA. You also might want to know that Zcash's headquarters are six minutes away from the CIA headquarters. Then there's Zcash and the Epstein files... including the email correspondences between Madars Virza, a co-founder of Zcash, and Jeffrey Epstein. Those emails reportedly involved tax documentation and income related to Zcash linked work along with a gift package sent to Epstein.

And that is: ultimately, VanEck has been around before Bitcoin. We will walk away from Bitcoin if we think the thesis is fundamentally broken. We don’t right now, but you always have to look at the underlying technology and the crypto. What the Bitcoin community has been asking itself is: Is there enough encryption in Bitcoin, because quantum computing is coming? And secondly: Is there enough privacy in Bitcoin? The blockchain is a public ledger. If you couple that with a few centralized exchanges, KYC information, you can track most of the transactions pretty accurately. So I think right now there's a lack of preserving of privacy." "For example, if your company pays everybody in crypto and if you get one payment today on the blockchain, you can just trace to the address that paid you and see how many addresses that address paid in the last week, then you can figure out everybody's salary. That's a privacy issue." "Another example, if you pay for a hotel [in crypto], then people will know that you're going to stay at that hotel, which for some people may create security issues. So there's little problems like those that are not solved yet."
