Much of what Musk did was sniper fire to cover his true mission: eliminating oversight of him. The DOL, CFPB, USAID, DOT, USDA, EPA, FEC, DOI, DOD, DOJ, & SEC were investigating. Those investigations, the people working on them, &, in some cases, the entire agency have vanished.

Another reason he's leaving is because he's only allowed 130 days in a 365 day period as a special gov employee. But the catch is he can spread his remaining days out by working 1/2 times a week (like he announced.) ex: 20 days spread out 1d a week = 20 weeks.
