imagine naming your kid a name that means useless … like love izuku but no one naming their baby deku ...

Why didn't she name him Izuku? Why name him after the mean nickname?

i love anime as well, and MHA is one of my favorites but you don't just name your human child after an anime character. Also, as others are pointing out, "Deku" literally was a nickname made to insult him initially before he reclaimed it. It means "wooden puppet"- a "dummy" 💀

i love LOVE izuku but naming her kid DEKU? she could have at least gone with izuku come on 😭

so many other mha names you could've picked: Sero Yuga Sato Tenya Enji Shoji ik these all sound like japanese names anyway but deku means useless so

Or maybe we just try to teach people not to make fun of eachother because of our names
