There’s something about racing commentators that stays with you. For generations, Peter Bromley was the voice of racing on BBC Radio. For two decades it’s been John Hunt and for me he’s one of the great voices. Here is his brilliant calling of today’s Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Big Rig racing — it’s fast, it’s entertaining, and a great time for America and Canada working together. And the best part? The ozone layer loves it. A very cool part about truck racing is that the engines are so efficient, you can put 100,000 miles on them without needing a rebuild. And the race teams? Most of them are actual shipping companies with a racing division, and the drivers are regular rig drivers.
